13:21 I like to take a straight on photograph with my telephone from above the Mosaic on my tabletop and then I can look at it from a proper angle and see if there's anything that needs fixing... I can take a picture every 5 minutes or at the end of each Mosaic session. Depending on how often I feel I need to check on a certain piece.
Yes, that's true. I take lots of photos as I work which is really helpful as sometimes you are blind to what you are doing unless you can stand back from it and see it through a lens.
I find all this fascinating. It is so different from my own craft (knitting and crochet) but there are still things to learn here about design and colour. Thank you both of you for taking the trouble to put this information up. I know it is very time consuming to do it.
You're very welcome and thank you for watching. I think there is a lot of cross over with knitting and crochet and it's interesting to explore the resemblances.
This was a lovely and informative interview! Alison's work is just beautiful, and I absolutely agree with her need to keep the colors where they belong. Thank you, Helen and Alison!
Hi Helen, wonderful interview. I've watched and re-watched all of your videos as I begin my journey into mosaics, and I've learned so much from you already. I just wanted to thank you again for your generosity. Also, I appreciate that you don't add music to your videos--I find the addition of music to instructional videos to be very distracting. Your straightforward approach is just perfect, so keep up the good work. Can't wait for the next video!
18:21 I can completely relate. I work painfully slow on every mosaic 👀
Don't worry - we are all slow. Alison is just flattering me when she says that I am flying along! 😂
So interesting to listen to stunning work so talented
Thanks for listening! 🙏😀

Fantastic. Thank you.
My pleasure! 😀
Helen - this video says a lot about your own humility, greatness and graciousness as you celebrate another artiste - Bless you and Alison.
That's very kind of you to say so! 😀🙏
