- Going Home, Looking Back, Letting Go and Moving On - Finding Hope - The Hillbilly Kitchen

STEPS TO PEACE WITH GOD
1. God’s Plan-Peace and Life
God loves you and wants you to experience His peace and life.
The BIBLE says: “For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten
Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life”
(John 3:16).
2. Our Problem-Separation
Being at peace with God is not automatic, because by nature you are
separated from God.
The BIBLE says: “For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God”
(Romans 3:23).
3. God’s Remedy-The Cross
God’s love bridges the gap of separation between God and you. When
Jesus Christ died on the cross and rose from the grave, He paid the
penalty for your sins.
The BIBLE says: “He personally carried the load of our sins in his own
body when he died on the cross” (1 Peter 2:24, tl b).
4. Our Response-Receive Christ
You cross the bridge into God’s family when you receive Christ by
personal invitation.
The BIBLE says: “But as many as received Him, to them He gave the
right to become children of God, even to those who believe in His
name” (John 1:12).
To receive Christ you need to do four things:
1. ADMIT your spiritual need. “I am a sinner.”
2. REPENT and be willing to turn from your sin.
3. BELIEVE that Jesus Christ died for you on the cross.
4. RECEIVE, through prayer, Jesus Christ into your heart and life.
CHRIST says, “Behold, I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears My voice and opens the
door, I will come in” (Revelation 3:20).
The BIBLE says, “Whoever calls upon the name of the Lord will be saved”
(Romans 10:13).
What to Pray:
Dear Lord Jesus, I know that I am a sinner and need Your forgiveness. I believe that You died for my
sins. I want to turn from my sins. I now invite You to come into my heart and life. I want to trust and
follow You as Lord and Savior. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Becky, thank you for being so sweet and loving. This is probably none of my business but after my husband passing away. Part of moving on is taking that wedding ring off. Perhaps you could consider that. I now wear a ring on my wedding ring finger that looks like a wedding band but is has the name JESUS inscribed on it. Since I'm the bride of Christ awaiting my Groom I now consider myself married to Jesus. It helped move on. Maybe you can remove that wedding ring and wear something else in its place, maybe a mother's ring or a birthstone ring. Just wanted to share with you. God Bless You Becky. You're such a special lady. Much Love to you dear. FYI I've been born again 44 years now.
Absolutely beautiful Becky I was blessed enough to live in some beautiful places too Mount Hood and Oregon and California when it was beautiful I'm 55. And I know the Lord is real. But I'm going through some really tough stuff right now. Thank you for sharing

You preach a better sermon than a great number of ordained ministers I've listened to in my life. 💜 I'm glad the first memory I have of my life, probably about 3 or 4 years old, was of my daddy reading to us from the Bible at night before we went to bed, I'm so lucky & so glad I had my mom and Dad, I miss them every day but I still have The Lord praise be to him.
I left the Appalachians 37 years ago and have been trying to get back all this time. Thank you for your message - I just miss my mountains so much but God needs me to shine my light in Ohio, so I will do that until he sets me on a different path.

I was 16 when I got married. My wonderful husband and I had 57 years of great memories, and 4 awesome kids. I lost him 18 months ago tommorow. But I know he is with our GREAT GOD and at some point I will be too! Some days are good and some are not, and that is when I think of you and offer my prayers for you. God bless you!
I cannot imagine how hard this has been. I think you started out the right way going back to the roots of your family. I always come to tears whenever you talk about these things. Jesus is so precious to me. I could never have survived what I have without him to rescue and strengthen me. I had to go back to school at , and I cannot tell you how healing that was. I had wanted to for years but couldnt, Now I have a whole new career, and I am happy and I feel like Im where God wants me. I Wish you the BEST going forward, I feel like as young as you are, and as i was you still have PLENTY of time ! My grandmother became a great painter, and artist after my grandpa died. I've had a very hard time with letting go of the past, grieving my son and moving on to what God has planned for me. After seeing this, it edged me forward more than anything else has. I am 66 & my husband is 73, we are moving to a new house in a new state October 14. I lost my husband of almost 59 years in February of this year and I, too, was almost terrified of the future! My life has drastically changed but God is helping me go on…my children are a big help also. When you lost your Brett my heart hurt for you but I now know what hurt you suffered. I always do what you always say, “Put God First!” God’s Blessings…
God carried me through the deepest valleys a person could go through and he set me on top of the mountain top at the end of the walk. Every breath I breathe, everything in nature is all the proof I need to know God is real and alive. He has carried me when I couldn’t even walk.

I love watching your channel, you have such a calming affect on me when you speak about God. I wish i had a friend like you who lived close by so that we could study God's word and learn as we go. God has gotten me through lots of hills and valleys as well, and i am trying to convey that to my kids and grand kids but all they see is bad things happening and God no where to be found. I thought that they were all saved, but now i have to wonder, so i am fearful for them, and i pray every single day that God would open their hearts and their minds to him so that they can see he is real, he is there, and he does love them and provide for them in every way. Depression runs through my side of the family, my son is going through it bad right now, so i pray that God holds him tight and gets him through it. And that he answers my prayers for all of them. 23-ish years ago I took my wife back to where I grew up. None of the families I grew up knowing still live there as far as I am aware. The area and homes there had changed so much I almost got lost. I remembered things being bigger, and farther away. 😂

Thank you for this video. I enjoyed your message and got alot out of it as I continue to grieve the loss of my beloved 13 year old son who passed away 7 months ago. I miss him terribly and am still so very heartbroken. But I keep pressing on and look forward to that day when we are reunited in our heavenly home with our LORD.
This struck my heart so much. I can relate to going back too. I miss all my loved ones and the way we were. I always ask God to take me back, but He is a Lord and God of renewal. I came to the Lord on April 19th 2019. It took me over 50 yrs and I am so glad I did. I am not scared to die because I will be renewed into an eternal life. I moved back to my little home town about 5 years ago....alot of people have passed away since I was little and alot of new people are here now. But it's still home and I'm sooo peaceful being here. I bought a house and will be here til I pass on.

Hi Becky, you are a blessing! I lost both my brother's recently in two years. It has been difficult for my mom and me even though we both know the Lord. She is 96 years old, so the pain has been truly hard for her. If it wasn't for the Lord, she wouldn't have gotten through this time, me too. How timely that I would watch this video . Today at 7:30 am I lost the person I was closest to in the whole world . It has been a rocky road of ups and downs for a year . It was meant to be .
There are not words to tell you how much I appreciate your honesty and testimony in this video. I realize I am watching it 6 months later but I believe it was God's plan and God's timing for me to see it now. My wonderful 90 year old mother has metastatic liver cancer and Hospice has been called in. I am so thankful for each day I have her but I know the time is coming sooner than I want of living life without her. I lost my husband in 2019, my brother in January, and now I will be losing my mother. I am the last person in my immediate family but I know I am never going to be alone because I always have God. Just wanted you to know how much I appreciate you and what you do to spread the good news of Jesus Christ!!!

I am some what in the same spot as you. I am 72 and buried my mom last yr. As a young'n I always wanted to live in Alaska. Now that I am the last one in my family and alone I am thinking about going home to the Black Hills of South Dakota where I grew up. Although I hate to give up the freedom that I enjoy in Alaska. I just find that upon my death living at home would just make my burial easy and not be a burden to anyone.

Becky, I'm a big fan of your show and a new sub. This vid just tore me up inside because I know you are trying to be strong after losing your Brett. I can feel your pain and I have cried and cried for you as I run my morning bath. Our faith in the Lord will guide us through all the trials, heartaches and sadness this old world throws at us. And as I make that statement I catch myself thinking, "but God made this world for us and it's still beautiful and peaceful mostly everywhere". I mean, look around you. If any human can deny the existance of our Father just by seeing all the lush green, the flowers, creeks and trees of the countrysides, then, well, they just aren't human!! I am also from a very small, rural town in TN. I have visited your beautiful state a few times. My twin Sister lived in Marion, NC many years ago. And I have a very dear friend who lives in NC once again after returning upon the death of her husband several years ago. There is something majical about our homes where we grew up. And just think, as wonderful and precious as these on earth are to us, we can't begin to comprehend what our heavenly home will be like. I just wanted you to know how much you touch people's lives in your sharing. God Bless You and your girls and babies. Our Lord wiill show you each step of the way. I know you must feel so alone and lonely at times. It may seem you are, but you know in your heart your never alone. I pray you fiind peace and hey, we all need a hug and at times a warm body to cuddle with, so if you don't have a puppy or kitty, become a pet parent!! I'm so glad that He has so much love and He shares it with whoever comes His way. Let us keep praying that many people will hunger and thirst after righteousness and many people will seek 1st the kingdom of God . He will add all things on to them.
At this stage in our lives it's not about things ,

Wishing I could go back and change things and know what I know now.. Yes I believe in Jesus.. But I never thought of it like you presented it.. It gives me blessings every day... my mother lost her partner of 25 years about 6 years ago, she was forced into retirement 2 years ago because of the covid s/d in our state (at age 75), my brother passed this year at age 56 - he lived with my mother most of his life - a very bad codependant relationship but he really helped my mother stay in her house - sadly my mother has the catholic upbringing and of course left that church a long time ago - she thinks she believes in God - but not really. Its truly sad, her depression is beyond my capability of understanding - the darkness in the house, she has always seemed to love to wallow in it - even before all these things happen, Sadly - the rest of us are dead to her - her son was her most favorite person in the entire world - always - he could do no wrong. I just keep trying to lead her to Jesus - Im glad you are doing better - I will pray for you. I can say I can understand the pain of the loss - I try - I know I am not going through it like you are. May God bless you and keep you in the palm of his hand. I just always want to wrap people in love like a blanket on a cold day..

@@veronicastewart1112 I tried... but I wasn't able to find it. The house was there, different in some degrees. But the life, the memories, that made it my old home place, weren't there. I felt worse than empty. Like someone had reached in and snatched the last piece of broken heart from within my chest. So tearfully, I left my memories of what used to be in the rearview mirror, and I returned to my homeplace of now. Even this house feels empty. I was looking for something that wasn't ever there. And it isn't here either. It's in Glory 👼

I lost my husband to cancer 17 years ago now. He missed our sons 2nd bday by 2 months. Some days are worse than others no matter how long they've been gone, but God is good and never left me alone in my pain.
I was widowed at 25, 32 yrs ago. We had 2 little kids and a baby.
