There should never be rules that are subjective. Ref needs to stay out of the game.
ref job to stay in the game and attentive. You mean you and all your friends need to write to the pool league and/or ref union/whoever Marcel boss is with what he did, and that is was not right or fair. And that you want him removed/replaced in the next games. Or some sort of disciplinary action on his record.
That is the way. Real change.
@@godjhaka7376 Ref's job is to call the game fairly and without prejudice. This ref did not do that. The rest of your post, I agree with.
Good thing Al still won. I hate when the refs call changes the outcome.
Wasn't a soft break. This Ref is a flake.
bake a cake, for goodness sake
Marcel actually disrupted his flow! The balls were evenly spread after making contact with the rails so how was that a SOFT BREAK?😮
Poor call or not, he could have waited until the rack was over to talk with him about his break. Phenomenal comeback after getting thrown off by the ref.
Josh is 1‐1,000,000. fagetabout his eccentricities projections...his game is (as all when in the zone) world class and he's young! Congratulations Champ Lion still dominating the cubs.
Hopefully one with a soufi game please? Favourite player to watch alongside Ronnie in cue sports
The ref screwed up badly. That was not a soft break. Even the commentators disagreed. 5:50
Theres just no way alex’s break wasn’t forceful enough. Don’t know what was up with Marcel but he was wrong and disrupted alex’s flow. One of the few poor moments for him as a referee.
its cuz he is the worst ref in pool and snooker. just fire him already
yup, here in the philippines we are using the same rules but as long you potted one ball and 2 over the lane its good
@@clydealih6504yea i understand the 3 point rule, which alex just barely missed on, but this is subjective and you have to remember that Alex is like 5’-3” lol. And to say something during the rack and not in between is very unprofessional to me.
Agreed
Doesn’t seem difficult to add a speed metric on the break. It’s not expensive or difficult.
Matchroom, could you please put the names of the commentators in the text?
Literally came to the comments to say “fuck this ref” what a prick.
I wish Alex "The Lion" Pagulayan this year will represent Philippines in the World Pool Championship and win the 2024 Edition to become a 2 time World 9 Ball Champion!
He's Canadian.
amazing match, im lucky to have met Alex once... he signed my 9 ball :D
36:12 almost a push double tip
Even by the old 3 point rule on breaks Alex's break would have been legal. So Marcell is completely out of line. But he's a douche so I expect nothing less. What country is Marcell from?
Germany
That's what I kinda figured
@39:25 is that the music from Super Mario World Vanilla Dome?
Ref was paid off.
incredible
Sound omg... wtf
Big Al played very well. Josh is so tough to beat.
yeah, never a soft break. bad call from Marcel !
When is the break like that a flag?
when it's a soft break. There was no 3-point rule in that match, according to what I heard when i watched the video and listened.
is that livestream right now
What a POS referee. Josh made almost the exact same break the very next rack and ref didn't call it as a soft break. He's a on a power trip and should not be allowed to officiate matches.
So this match is from last year?
Yes
LoL, yeah. Says it right in the title. Pay particular attention to the part where it says "2023". 🤣😂
"Joshua Filler vs Alex Pagulayan | Winners' Round One | 2023 World Pool Championship"
"Your break wasn't forceful enough" WTFF?
What's with the ponderous crap chords ?
6:00
Break not forceful enough???
To what degree is it not forceful "enough" when he drove 6 balls to the rail and 3 past the head string and the 2 ball to the head string 🤔🤔🤔
Studip ref 😢
not sure what the ref was saying, that break wasnt soft at all
How was that a soft break?! 3 balls behind the break line is fine! Y would a ref talk to a player about his opinion. Then he misses the next shot? How about this? If his opponent has a problem with it, he can say something and then take it from there. That was a terrible job.
'Loser side' in Pool shouldn't be included. Because its not relevant to call A LOSER CAN BE CHAMPION 😅 (in my opinion)
Alex pagulayan challenged everyone for 100.000$ and no one has responded.
Earl Strickland won $1 million on running out multiple racks in a row. Though he out his prime now, he would have taken that $100k easily.
@@godjhaka7376 i know and no one ever mentions that , they instedt got hanged up on Efren's Z-shot like morons, nothing else exists just Efren and his Z-shot, the million dollar won by Earl by running 11 racks thats nothing , can you believe how people are, if Efren makes a stun shot the whole world goes crazy
rigged ref
That was weird. Calling a soft break but the viewers can't actually see what's going on? There's no way a spread like that is happening with a cheese break.
And Josh made almost the exact same break the very next rack and ref didn't call him on it. I've seen him do this shit before. He should not be allowed to officiate matches.
juos
That's some hate from the referee.. completely unfair, get him out of here.
@matchroom pool, fire Marcel as a ref, clearly he doesn’t know how tf to officiate.
Old game and crazy ref..
He totally punched his break, I agree with the ref.
That ref, smh
These referees are power tripping anymore. They need to stay out of the game unless there is a reason to say anything. The referees are allowed to shark players now.
Gg
Ref should be retired and fired!
Alex is looking way older… he’s about 25 now lol
hes 45
@@shinobishawn but you know, children have to make jokes off misinformation. What else can they do?
Get rid of Marcel.
In all fairness... Josh played like crap😂😂😂😂
Alex had to fight back from a crap call and disruption...
With josh playing crappy and alex playing to win...it was a good match and the outcome was an arguable upset?!🎉😂
