Its great to see the PSVR2 getting the love it deserves, when a budget PCVR headset arrives and it makes you want to revisit the older classic VR games like those incredible games in the Oculus store, you just know that the headset is pretty special.
If your take time with Lone Echo it's exactly like playing one of the best sci-fi movies. If they would have included a little gun play in Lone Echo 1 it would have put this game over the Top. But as is it's still one of the most Beautiful games I have ever played. And yes I did try it on PSVR 2 and again the colors popped , the blacks were inky black and field of view wide
Im a Hard-Core Pc Gamer whos been following VR since Palmer was on Giant bomb a decade ago. I've always made the "next-gen I'll dive in" excuse for waiting....BUT when the PSVR2 went on sale I pulled the trigger now im going back through Upload VR reviews and combing reddit trying to find every semi-interesting game that i want to experience. You guys READ MY MIND with this stream.... its seems many of the "fullest/AAA" games came out early on and are stuck in limbo on the "meta/Oculus store" now im having to trouble shoot and find "ways" of obtaining and playing these forgotten gems. SO FAR ive got on my Must try list Stormland, Edge of Nowhere, Chronos, Wilsons heart, Defector: VR Spy Game, Lies Beneath, Robo Recall, The Climb, From Other Suns, Arktika.1............. such a SHAME these games are seemingly forgotten/abandoned. TY. keep up great work
I agree! Guess most quest2 owners don't even know the name OCULUS. And don't know the terrible history of facebook. That's why facebook changed the name to meta(and to claim the metaverse because it was hot 4 years ago, every company used the hype metaverse like they use ai now). browse facebook and privacy lawsuits and you know what i mean.

You hit the big ones and WOW if Stormlands was coming out on PC in 2026 it be the top of my hype list (sci-fi far cry with cloud surfing), I was impressed even watching 45 mins of " I'm Lost, where are we going?, Whats that look like?, Shield generators Where?!"
This shows the sad truth that this game from 2018 looks better than 99% of Q3 ports, i.e. 99% of VR games in general, and this is because developers create games that must run on Quest. And seriously, if someone tells me again that mobile chips are close to stationary ones, I will laugh at them. No, they are not close, they are always 2-3 generations behind. Unfortunately, developers will always create games for the most popular platform. And it's not just about pure graphics, but about the entire scope and size of the game, the complexity of the world and mechanics that are demanding on the CPU.
But did game developers go for nintendo ds "only" in the old days of gaming because most kids owned it. No! So what has changed. The game developers? More money earned on kids game with microtransactions on facebook vr then a big vr title?
Man wes u have to try state of decay 2 with mods it's up to 36 players be dope to c how the community would stand up in a zombie apocalypse. Maybe even later down the road be a treat for patreons.
But the games were excellent. Oculus studio knew what great quality vr games the audience wanted. But since rift s it wasn't expensive to enjoy pcvr but sadly it got only 1 year to succeed facebook dropped the inventors of vr(oculus to serve the gorillatag generation)Even the graphics cards were cheap but since corona and wars the prices went up to high and never turned back. Guess multinationals think if the fools pay for it, keep the prices high. Like all prices in supermarket and shops. Viva kapitalism. Let the working class hero pay the bills of the rich because they don't have enough money bahahaha. Shame facebook dropped pcvr and now we got games running on a phonechip so that children can affort it bahahaha. Just buy a nintendo switch for them and let adults enjoy quality vr games again. Only pcvr cloudgaming is the way to get that quality of vr back on facebook android vr. Facebook said pcvr didn't feed the hungry children of stockholders after giving it 1 year of rift s. But billions into horizon worlds is bahahaha playing kids vr games on the sharpest headset available even with 8k per eye doesn't change an android vr game in quality game.
I really believe this headset needs to be optimized, on the PS5 the graphic are much better with half the power of my PC. Tyrell ticked me off this week. He is doing a dis-service to this headset. We all know this headset has reached no where near its potential on the PC.
I have a quest 3 and a psvr2 I value clarity over colors etc. I'll wait until micro oled to get both. Since meta opened the eco system to other companies I think by early 2025 there will be a micro oled headset in a reason enough price range for me to buy.
for me stormland doesnt work great on the psvr2 for me,when i turn my head the image feels weird,somekind off motion lag..even motionsmoothing is not on its off...every other game works(i use a rtx4090 etc)
Hey Wes, after a long time I have downloaded revive again. I have sold my Rift S long time ago. But for me Lone Echo is still not working on my PSVR2. I have a very bad performance and the worst thing is that I am not able to set the settings in the menu. How did you manage to for example set the graphic settings to medium? I am not able to click all the arrows in the menu. They do not respnd? Any help?
Pressing both x and y at the same time on the left controller serves as a substitution for the left Oculus menu button. Just do this during gameplay to bring up the pause menu.
Any idea how to get Hitman 3 to not look like shit in VR? First game I bought to try out psvrpc2 with, and it looks atrocious. I can deal with the janky controls, if I can get it looking cleaner, so please, help me polish this turd 🙏
Boost the steam supersampling way up. I used to put it at %200 on my reverb. Turn the in game gfx up as far as they go. I was able to get it looking pretty good. Not perfect but I was still impressed with how good you could make it look, a lot better than the psvr1 version

Glad to see Stormland featured again! Just finished up HL Alyx and this is the next big game for psvr2 on pc.. after I get through poppy ch 1-3 in VR

Lone Echo 2 was good. You should stick with it Wes, there are some really cool moments where the story takes some crazy twists.

If I understood correctly, Wes did not previously hear about Trombone Champ. I'm a bit surprised, since that game has a VR mod from Raicuparta.
