A lot ppl in India have accent. And there is nothing wrong with it. The typical South Indian English isn't an all Indian accent....thats not how we all talk.

Not fake. I think If Priyanka speaks in Indian accent, Americans wont understand a thing simply bcz they are not used to it. I can relate to her, sometimes my accents changes what type of person I am speaking with.

Hell my accent changes based on the web series I watched so I don't really see why it's faking. I mean I watched Bridgerton last week and now my accent is so British that I'm not even pronouncing my r's. It will go away in a few days but it's pretty normal ngl.

Honestly, the only reason she has a “fake accent” or whatever you guys think is for the Americans to understand her better. She took speech classes to be more articulate so that when she does work in Hollywood, people aren’t left wondering what is she saying and i think that’s completely fine. She speaks wonderful English based on Indian standards and has studied in the US, so she does have mixed accent which is not all fake. Also she’s a very humble, down to earth celebrity despite making it big in two different industries. I agree she has her flaws, but she’s not pretending, she really just is a very charming individual, in general, even in india.
So in short to all the “haters”, she’s not fake or pretending or acting-that’s really who she is.
I mean it's just Indian thing.. If anyone tries to learn an accent in India..PPl call him/her fake, this just how indian ppl are..
But no one judges man , they also know english is not 1st language of Indians only 30% Indians speak English
