thanks a ton for this. i went from the yearly "try freecad again" yesterday to "oh cool ondsel looks like basically what i wanted from the project", started using it for a few hours, then found this video. thanks for the heads up & help setting this up, great vid!
seriously, right. be so much easier. But they are getting there. One call add on is the ribbon. Go under tools, then addons and search for ribbon. its a new style for the UI and its pretty nice.
@@OMNI_INFINITY i like it better than onshape because the ui is smoother, less garbled up with nonsense and i can do fem, cfd and thermo expansion problems easily for free and its all local install, no cloud

yeah, ondsel was great and im glad they gave all their work to freecad because now freecad 1.0 IS ondsel.

Look up offsetcad on TH-cam for tutorials in freecad. I follow him and even his older tutorials Work great in 1.0
