I think it depends. If players are not developing and your players are not getting poached, just do the longer one. If players get poached and you need to shows us changes, and/or players develop and you can show that, then do two shorter ones. If there is a game you need to show for promotion, to avoid relegation, or something like that, then you can break it into two parts as well.

Longer video for one season
I watch these for the story, if nothing happens then short, but I have done this challenge and I wouldn't be surprised if half your team is poached and there will be massive challenges, I'm surprised the team hasn't been decimated to U16 already.
The story is important, length of the video less so.

From a TH-cam standpoint - do the shorter videos. Algorithm will be kinder to you if you release shorter videos more frequently.
