- Unboxing of the brand new Canon EOS C400, paired it along with the 24-105mm 2.8.
Got my 2nd one on the way to me, can't wait for this new A+B camera set up.

Awesome to see, the first TH-cam content creator to actually shoot with this new camera and give us some sample footage wins 👍 or even better, compare it with the C70 and Canon R3
I got some sample footage on here with different frame rates etc. but haven't and probably wont ddo side by side i'll def leave that for the creators who love to shoot that because I would want to see as well lol, but I own 3x C70's and can tell you this is for sure sharper then it. But I still love my c70's
@@MrAlexAcosta23 Awesome! I'm in a tough position right now about to pull the trigger on either the C400 or the Komodo-X full kit. I'm leaning towards Canon because that is the brand and RF lenses I'm already invested in but it's a very hard decision
@@hawaiifreespeechnews ahhhh yes that is. I've been a canon user from day 1 but I have shot a few projects on the Komodo and wasn't bad at it, but with my glass and equipment i'm heavy invested on the canon side, def a tough decision tho.

Bruh. I have the same lens and battery set up waiting for my C400 delivery tomorrow!! i took the lens holder off mine and now I can’t find it. Fun. I have the 24-105 on a C70 now. Anxious to see the FF difference. Nice work bud.
BROOO once i heard the announcement of the C400 I KNEW this was going to be my combo lol, I loved it on my C70 but such a huge difference in the full frame now to me. I know you cant wait for tomorrow lol. Enjoy!
Surprisingly ok packaging from canon. Usually, they put the body on a plastic tray with kleenex over it and just let everything rattle around.

Dope man!!! This or the c80??? Ughhhhhhh lol Also can you post a quick short or something sometime on how to mount the monitor directly on the top of the box without too handle! I’m looking to get a sense of the smallest build (I losing the side handle that came attached) that I could make on this cam!

I bought 2x C400's and I also ordered the C80. For what I shoot its a must to have both, but tough to decide C400 or C80, I also own the C70's and for sure the C80 is an upgrade to that, so hard to say lol. but yes losing that side handle FOR SURE!
Thanks for the video. I just brought in my first C400 footage and it opens as audio only. Updating Apples "pro video formats" doesn't change anything. Did you have this problem and do you know the solution?
Oh damn! Sorry to hear, no I didn’t run into that issue. I have a windows so it pop right up. Maybe try downloading .MXF files extension. If you haven’t already. I just googled it and I see someone else has that issue as well and they also on mac, my guess it’s def an file extension thing for Mac that you need to download
@@MrAlexAcosta23 Thanks for the response! Ya It's definitely some silly extension thing. Apples Finder, Quicktime and FCPX open it as audio while Davinci opens it just fine.
Firmware! After updating the files open fine. Firmware notes don't mention anything about file type changes but it worked.

is there a reason why 6k is not available in XF-AVC format?
XF-AVC does not support 6K...might be the high data rate, that limits the codec to 4K
@@brmoogma that is correct! MAYBE something to address in a future firmware update but at the moment only 4k for XF-AVC, truly hope is happens soon, because I love 6k on my c400 but to only when shooting in raw it can be accessed so again hopefully in future firmware updates
@@MrAlexAcosta23 Wait, does it do ANY non-RAW 6K? Like 6K60 10bit Long Gop maybe?...or are all the 10 bit modes 4K?
@@loudandclearmediaunfortunately not right now, only way to get 6k is raw, but I use RAW LT so it’s the lightest codec far as data which is in 12 bit, outside of raw only 4k on down with 10 bit, still extremely clean and useable, most won’t need raw unless your client ask or you shooting movies.
@@brmoogma Well, that's unfortunate. I am in the market for a new cine 6k camera I was really looking at the c400 but my primary client prefer not to film in raw.
