I am a guatemalan, and Tikal is a very big archeological site. Next to Tikal is Yaxha another archeological site smaller that Tikal, but this has at the end the lake. Another beautiful places in Petén is Chechenal Beach, El Remate, Cráter Azul. In Petén too is the second bigger pyramid of the world by volume call La Danta in the archeological site El Mirador (but is very difficult go there, there's tours but you need get inside of the jungle for 5 days, or in a helicopter tour but is expensive, this take only 1 day). This pyramid is not discover at all. But the amazing of go in helicopter is that you can see since the air all the jungle and into the trees you can watch mountains that are pyramids cover of trees, that have thousands of years growing over this all mayan ruins. Petén has to much to offer.
Thank you for visiting my beautiful departament (state), tourists who come from Antigua do not usually arrive in the north of the country for a matter of time Congratulations!
Very nice video! I have come to your site through your Rotterdam video, where we live. I think it is very adventurous of the both of you to make this trip to South America, I hope it is as good as you expected? You make me think of my daughter who finished college this year and just returned from a trip to Indonesia. She was so excited of living there that she will return in October. Good for her, but as a parent, difficult to let go. Enjoy the continuation of your trip!
Thank you, great video! Do you have a link for the transportation to Tikal and tour guide? or you have to buy it there? I just checked online and is very expensive! I'm from the US but originally from Guatemala
Thank you 😊 I’d say biok on the spot, because it’s much cheaper than doing it online in advance. We did it from a place called Getaway travels, you can find them on Google Maps!
As always beautiful pictures, Tikal looks incredible, going back in time! Amazing view! 👍👍
Thank you!! ☺️❤️

Flores in Guatemala is located on a lake while in Indonesia it is located in the sea.
True! I’ve been to Flores in Indonesia back in 2017 🙌🏼
