I love your take on this. So many others are saying he's low priority. I was going to roll for him regardless, but I'm glad he seems to be better than many give him credit for.
Because we recently had mountain and joint operation banner (Surtr, Saga, Phantom, Schawrz) and later down the road Ling and maybe GG (Golden Glow) which makes a ton of value to pull so people's priority on gnosis is kinda low so yeah tough banner competition
I was a little on the fence about getting Gnosis. Given what I have in my account I figured I wouldn't need a the freeze. Shows you how much I really paid attention to him considering that is all I really knew about him. After the patch I heard his EN voice and really liked it which kept me on the fence, but after watching this and learning what he actually does I decided to go for at one 6 star. I had 215 pulls I should be fine for Ling. 28 to get a 6 star. During those pulls I got 2 pots for Pram bringing her to P4, 1 for Croissant who is now P3, and a shiny new Aroura before landing on that 6 star. I heeded your past advice, and did singles the entire time to save as much as possible, and It paid off. 28 pulls, and I got him.
I'd say Gnosis + Aurora + Aak is a better combo than Kjera in place of Aak. +50 ASPD lets Aurora to unload all 9 ammo in 12 seconds which is within Gnosis S3 13s duration and you get the benefit of +50% Atk on high base atk, 330% atk scale and 50% fragile.
@@ark8702 Unless you have Kjera for some Arts damage elsewhere on the map, I'd rather take more buff army (Warfarin/Stainless) if needed or go unga bunga with Surtr if I want extra Arts dmg, Gn + Au + Ak alone is alr enough for phase 1 patriot (no mines). Always thought this is a potent combo to anything susceptible to freeze, shutdown enemy + beeg dmg to kill while immobile, biggest cost is squad/deploy limit use to deal with major threats. Also DP cost and SP prep for Aurora.
Got him at the 12th pull. I'm hesitant to pull on his banner at first because of the upcoming limited banner that has Ling. But I'm so glad I did! No regrets!
I just got out of the Arknights subreddit where the sentiment is that Kjera is an expensive sidegrade to Click, and Gnosis is crippled by his inability to freeze most bosses and loses a lot of value if you already have Suzuran. It's nice to hear things from another perspective. Not saying I agree with either side wholeheartedly, but I do like your point that Suzu is more of a boss-killer while Gnosis is better at dealing with crowds. Makes me feel better since I've already decided to pull him and already have Suzu built.

I told myself I was pulling for 5* pity only for Aurora and got an offbanner which triggered some sort of angry bug in my brain to keep pulling til I got her, I proceeded to get two more offbanners in 20 pulls, gave up in frustration, then today I pulled a couple singles for green certs to buy some mats and Gnosis came home instead. Still no Aurora though. :/ I'm honestly not sure why I even want her when my Eunectes is still sitting unbuilt and I have so many operators on my e2 to-do list that she would sit at e0 for months anyway. Gnosis however was a very pleasant surprise. I'll probably be going for s3 mastery first but you made a very compelling case for his s2 and I am now considering investing in his m6 as a long term project. I get that he's super strong sometimes and always pretty decent but... Ling is like literally the next banner and I really like goldenglow and fiametta that appear to be right after ling Considering he ultimately seems to be a suzuran with more of a swing to how good he can be battle to battle and a bit less synergy since she kind of boosts every support unit a lot while his thing is just kjerag and only when immunity matters if I have some supply to work with on rerun will for sure go for it o_o-b
i wanted aurora....so naturally in 40 rolls i get two genosis and no aurora, random one roll i did with a ticket got me my aurora, i m deffo saving now for Ling
I usually say skip all standard banners if you're already endgame but I wouldn't fault anyone to pull on Gnosis here because he is really a very very good unit. If I was a dolphin or a whale I definitely would pull in him but alas I am not so gotta save for Ling and Spectalt both of which aren't far off.
Okay. I need a bit of advice. Excluding The 300 pulls I need for getting Dusk on the Ling Banner I have 145 pulls saved up. And my priority is Fiammetta >> Spalter > Goldenglow = Gnosis Is it still worth to pull here, or is it too risky since I prioritize Fiammetta and Spalter way higher than Gnosis? (I have both Angelina and Suzuran M3)
Is Ling a must have? She doesn't seem half a broken as Chalter who I can simply borrow from a friend. Most of my saved up summons were used up in Radiant Nearl and Mountain Banner so most likely I might skip.
Question do you prioritize the S2 or S3 for mastery? Or which playstyles use S2 or S3? In my eyes the S3 seems better because other supporters have AOE like Angelina or Podenco and the S3 seems more dps than AOE
S2 is for very fast rotation, short duration freezing that really complements consistent damage set ups featuring operators like Eyjafjalla with S2. S3 is for burst freezing for a longer duration, which tends to synergize better with short burst damage operators like Eyjafjalla / Ifrit S3. S3 is normally more useful (and thus the better Mastery candidate) because burst tends to be favored in a lot of situations, but S2 is a nice spammable skill that can help you get out of trouble and can counter some annoying enemies (e.g. the hoverboard enemies in Ch9)
I don't consider Ling that strong, I'd say if you're a unabashed meta slave go for Gnosis over her all day. He brings something really unique to the table that you really can't get anywhere else, Ling brings... pretty much nothing of the sort. She's only "strong" in the sense of breaking low op/summoner only type 'challenges' without those kinds of limits she really brings nothing new or unique to the table if you have a good roster. She suffers from the same issue all summoners do really which is that the deployment slot for one of their summons is pretty much always going to be better spent on just using a regular operator. Ling does nothing really to address this beyond having 'strong' summons, but they're not stronger than good operators let alone the skills said operators could bring to bear as well.

You can use suzu on normal enemies too infact she actually does better on normal enemeis
i just pulled him, and I have to say, I'm happy about it. I'm thinking to build Kjera too, as her skill 2 can help to freeze even more....

CC#9 is the example of that. If the eggs doesnt immune to freeze, Gnosis will absolutely decimated them

Kjera might have more attack than Click but, utility-wise, Click's stun is better than Kjera's two-step freeze, despite the two drones.

If you want trust farmer, Ling by far is the best trust farmer. You can solo almost every general stage with Ling
I heard the drop rate for grindstones is lower than the regular mission. Maybe worth it until you clear the store.
