  • Happy Father’s Day to all you Dad’s, and Mom’s that fill the roll. First time using embossing powder. It’s going to turn out ok. I modified the grill. #modelcars #embossingpowder #firsttime #GTO

Your GTO is coming along nicely Lamb Chop! The nail polish looks great! Your grill is cool and great job making it fit! When i use flocking it embossing powder i use a similar color paint as the powder before i put it down. I feel it helps it blend in. 😎👍

Cool idea with the grill👍 I just tried out some flocking, didn't like it at all. Is embossing powder finer, easier to smooth out?

I put down on top of mod podge…let the weight of excess powder flatten it. Ed at @oneteamgarage done a video on it once..it helped me. I’m happy with how it turned out. I’m impatient sometimes so I didn’t let it sit overnight…maybe an hour. It probably would look better waiting longer to dump the excess off.

@@LambchopBuilds I used Mod Podge also. Sprinkled on the flocking and let it dry several hours before shaking off the excess. It may be the flocking material itself, just seemed to be kind of chunky🤷‍♂️

Looks awesome. Love what you did with the grill. Did you say the paint is nail polish?

Yup. DollarTree Color Vibe Deep Dive blue with a few drops of Back to Black mixed in, thinned 50% leveling thinner…probably could go 60%, or add some retarder to keep it from drying at the tip…unless it was just first time and not knowing the properties since it dried nice.

Looks awesome, never used embossing powder or flocking. Might have to give it a try.

I've learned to paint the color you are going for underneath the powder...it'll give it a more realistic look. There is some white showing through on mine...lesson learned. Sometimes you gotta crawl before you walk.
