Now, here is a myth of history.
A popular misconception.
His Holiness did NOT
" flee" or " escape " to India.
Using those words implies HE deserted his nation and people.
Bowing to the wishes of HIS people , His Holiness, very reluctantly, consented to temporarily relocate to India , and return once the issue was resolved.
Different matter that the world deserted Tibet and the Tibetans at their darkest days
