Howdy from the Western part of Texas USA! I live in the middle of the oil fields of west Texas, half way between Dallas and El Paso Texas on I 20. Dry dessert here. Me and my son used to have old school vw powered dune buggys and rode/camped in the Lincoln National forest in New Mexico. Always had a Blast. Love watching you and Wendel on you guys adventures. Wendel is the cutest dog ever. I believe i will get me a Parsons terrier in a few months! Keep making videos and having fun. I will be getting a new sxs this year and get back to trail riding. @@Maritimer yes the northeastern part of me I’m in is mostly wooded. No probs hopping on the bike and doing things around town and many trails just outside town. There is old iron mines from years ago with trails around them also. Would love to try your trail systems also. Ride safe and enjoy !! Say hi to Wendell too. 😎

Hi, good video! Last time on your video I missed pressure in yours tires. You mentioned in this one (and in comments previous video). I do similar riding and hunting, Several years back I bought 570 Can-am because 4 year warranty. What a disappointment. Cost me more for repairs then I could afford it. 4 year warranty was only good for parts they won't brake down. Another thing mentioned is clutch clunk noise, each time when accelerate. Hi pitched sound when breaking with engine and I could go on. At last brake down still with one year warranty my wife said to trade it in and get a better one and she would paid half price of cost. So I end up with 2018 can- am outlander 850. I hate that old one I love this one! Excellent machine. I took recently out stock tires and put on Maxis Big Horn 2. 0 tires 27 x 11-14 and 27 x 9 -14. I also have Podium Fox shocks bought 4 years ago and bushings gone. Everything could be replace, but not bushings. Thousand bucks for garbage. I found wholesale company in Canada, who selling bronze bushings ( bearings), the same fit expect thicker on outside. I machine them down and will see, how they hold up. For now looks very good. Eight bushings cost me around $ 100 cad. If brakes down again I will buy Elka Suspension Stage 3 shocks ( out of stock) right now at Revco.ca. Never Fox shocks again! Keep on with yours videos!

Yeah I dono with Can Am, it just doesnt seem like they put the same quality into the smaller machines, my buddy had the 570 and had to put 3 dash/speedo screen's in it... he said it didnt matter b/c it was under warranty, but I asked him what happens when your warranty is up? lol thats too bad you had such an issue with your shocks, but those Elka shocks are Quality !!! Hope they get some stock in for ya. thanks again, cheers !

We tried the myra loop a little while ago but someone broken all the ice and it was very hard on the machines so we turned around. Yeah them pull behind campers are pretty cool, but here people use them more as a cottage... they park them in these huge "camping" lots with about 1000 other trailers, they build decks and sheds on them, and they are usually close to the water..... just not idea of good time haha I dont want to be surrounded by people all summer. thanks again for watching ! I finally became a Grampa two weeks ago to a beautiful baby girl who is perfect in every way, even if I do say so myself! Oh Thats roughing it! You're well equipped. Word of caution don't run the OG Big Horns less than 5 psi. The wider tires will crack and split at the outer treads. Hard compound tire and they don't like lower psi. If you heard machines all night in bad weather you were most certainly in the Scoudouc Shediac area.

I'm almost 100% sure the Big Horn 1.0 are a softer compound trail tire, better for comfort, smoothness and climbing over obstacles.... usually the mud tires are hard compound, better for digging into the soft mud. but you could be right. Yeah them damn loud exhausts haha I sound like a old guy now lol thanks for watching !

There's a nice falls up there by adair's wilderness Lodge and between Martin head called quittie falls some real nice warming shacks in St John as well between St John and adairs wellness Lodge and another falls called Tracy falls it's just outside of Taylor Lake trail
Hey ken ! this trip I was in Scoudouc (between Dieppe and Shediac) but I have been to those falls and they are nice ! Sussex is my favourite spot to ride for sure. I dont think I've seen Tracy falls, I will have to look that one up and maybe do a video finding it. thanks !!!

Great video and glad you had the chance to get away to hot tent in the snow with Wendell. I tried the silicone cast iron holder and didn't like it... too slippery and didn't grab the handle well... went back to a Lodge mitt. I am going to reach out to Ray to see if he can make a sheath for a camp knife... his stuff looked good and thanks for the referral. Food looked delicious... I haven't had fish & chips in forever, and making them at camp just makes me look lazy... lol. Ahh, beer... always good to bring along the suds to relax with. Hey! I was a cook for years before i took a trade. Pro-tip fpr really good fries, double cook them. In your situation it would probably be easier to boil them until soft and then fry them after. Maybe blanche them before ypu leave and toss em in a baggie. Love your vids man, found em today and i have been binging your channel since

I am near state college, pa and will be doing a fair amount of riding on "snow shoe rails to trails", and the "bloody skillet" connector trials this summer. I live close to where the "Ramey poker run" is held every year so there is also a ton of trails out this way too. I am definitely going to be on the kayak and camping along the west branch of susquehanna river as well. I'll check your channel out

The cot was definitely a good idea if you're in a hot tent with snow under you. Would hate to wake up in a bed of slush - LOL - I kept yelling at my TV, "dig all the snow down to the ground", but you weren't listening, so I started yelling, "put a block of firewood under your center pole, cot and stove legs", but again you weren't listening. I felt ignored - HAHAHA!!! What do you use for oil in your pan when you're frying your fish? And what do you put in your batter mix? What's in the fish cakes? They looked like a fish and potato mixture. Wendel looked pretty whipped at the end there in the truck - LOL Awesome stuff buddy! Thanx for taking us along! Go Leafs!
Hey Buddy !! Yep I'm loving that cot ! it was much more comfortable, I'm not 15 anymore, I cant just sleep on the ground haha YES I should have known about the tent pole.... that was just dumb, next time I will bring a small 2X6 with me that I can put under that pole so it wont sink. The Cot didn't sink at all in the snow, I had a tarp under it, and it worked well. For oil, I like the Chosen Avocado oil,(Get it at Costco and I think Walmart now) it's not bad for you and has a higher smoke temperature than Olive oil, so I use it for deep frying. I just did a basic box of flour, garlic, onion, salt, pepper and some thyme. then once it was done I sprinkled a little Lowery's seasoning salt over everything. Yep the cakes were salt cod, potatoes, onion, pepper and thyme. thats how my nanny always made them. OH man wendell and I were both tired, I didnt sleep much with the rain and worrying about the tent haha I slept good sunday night haha thanks for watching man ! GO LEAFS !!!

Great video. Definitely looks like the cot was a good idea. A lot nicer than sitting on the ground. Noisy exhaust always makes me shake my head, especially if you use your machine for hunting. Maybe it’s for the people who never want to see any wildlife?

Howdy from the Western part of Texas USA! I live in the middle of the oil fields of west Texas, half way between Dallas and El Paso Texas on I 20. Dry dessert here. Me and my son used to have old school vw powered dune buggys and rode/camped in the Lincoln National forest in New Mexico. Always had a Blast. Love watching you and Wendel on you guys adventures. Wendel is the cutest dog ever. I believe i will get me a Parsons terrier in a few months! Keep making videos and having fun. I will be getting a new sxs this year and get back to trail riding. @@Maritimer yes the northeastern part of me I’m in is mostly wooded. No probs hopping on the bike and doing things around town and many trails just outside town. Hi, good video! Last time on your video I missed pressure in yours tires. You mentioned in this one (and in comments previous video). I do similar riding and hunting, Several years back I bought 570 Can-am because 4 year warranty. What a disappointment. Cost me more for repairs then I could afford it. 4 year warranty was only good for parts they won't brake down. Another thing mentioned is clutch clunk noise, each time when accelerate. Hi pitched sound when breaking with engine and I could go on. At last brake down still with one year warranty my wife said to trade it in and get a better one and she would paid half price of cost. So I end up with 2018 can- am outlander 850. I hate that old one I love this one! Excellent machine. I took recently out stock tires and put on Maxis Big Horn 2. 0 tires 27 x 11-14 and 27 x 9 -14. I also have Podium Fox shocks bought 4 years ago and bushings gone. Everything could be replace, but not bushings. Thousand bucks for garbage. I found wholesale company in Canada, who selling bronze bushings ( bearings), the same fit expect thicker on outside. I machine them down and will see, how they hold up. For now looks very good. Eight bushings cost me around $ 100 cad. If brakes down again I will buy Elka Suspension Stage 3 shocks ( out of stock) right now at Revco.ca. Never Fox shocks again!

Hey ! thank you ! Yeah I dono with Can Am, it just doesnt seem like they put the same quality into the smaller machines, my buddy had the 570 and had to put 3 dash/speedo screen's in it... he said it didnt matter b/c it was under warranty, but I asked him what happens when your warranty is up? lol
thats too bad you had such an issue with your shocks, but those Elka shocks are Quality !!! Hope they get some stock in for ya.

Hi, I'm from southeast Kentucky, USA Been up your way a lot, couple dozen times. I generally truck camp or motorcycle camp. Have been watching the Finns with their pull behind campers. Got us beat hands down.

Yeah them pull behind campers are pretty cool, but here people use them more as a cottage... they park them in these huge "camping" lots with about 1000 other trailers, they build decks and sheds on them, and they are usually close to the water..... just not idea of good time haha I dont want to be surrounded by people all summer. thanks again for watching ! You need to get a battery operated tent fan that hangs from the ceiling of your tent to blow the heat down so makes it warm for you.

Oh Thats roughing it! You're well equipped. Word of caution don't run the OG Big Horns less than 5 psi. The wider tires will crack and split at the outer treads. Hard compound tire and they don't like lower psi. If you heard machines all night in bad weather you were most certainly in the Scoudouc Shediac area.

Oh yeah? I'm almost 100% sure the Big Horn 1.0 are a softer compound trail tire, better for comfort, smoothness and climbing over obstacles.... usually the mud tires are hard compound, better for digging into the soft mud. but you could be right.

There's a nice falls up there by adair's wilderness Lodge and between Martin head called quittie falls some real nice warming shacks in St John as well between St John and adairs wellness Lodge and another falls called Tracy falls it's just outside of Taylor Lake trail
Hey ken ! this trip I was in Scoudouc (between Dieppe and Shediac) but I have been to those falls and they are nice ! Sussex is my favourite spot to ride for sure.

Great video and glad you had the chance to get away to hot tent in the snow with Wendell. I tried the silicone cast iron holder and didn't like it... too slippery and didn't grab the handle well... went back to a Lodge mitt. I am going to reach out to Ray to see if he can make a sheath for a camp knife... his stuff looked good and thanks for the referral. Food looked delicious... I haven't had fish & chips in forever, and making them at camp just makes me look lazy... lol. Ahh, beer... always good to bring along the suds to relax with. Hey! I was a cook for years before i took a trade. Pro-tip fpr really good fries, double cook them. In your situation it would probably be easier to boil them until soft and then fry them after. Maybe blanche them before ypu leave and toss em in a baggie. Love your vids man, found em today and i have been binging your channel since

Where are you from in PA? I lived in Pgh until about 2 years ago and did a fair amount of Jeepin' around there. If you're at all interested in kayak/boat camping check out some of my vids
I am near state college, pa and will be doing a fair amount of riding on "snow shoe rails to trails", and the "bloody skillet" connector trials this summer. I live close to where the "Ramey poker run" is held every year so there is also a ton of trails out this way too. I am definitely going to be on the kayak and camping along the west branch of susquehanna river as well. I'll check your channel out

The cot was definitely a good idea if you're in a hot tent with snow under you. Would hate to wake up in a bed of slush - LOL - I kept yelling at my TV, "dig all the snow down to the ground", but you weren't listening, so I started yelling, "put a block of firewood under your center pole, cot and stove legs", but again you weren't listening. I felt ignored - HAHAHA!!!
What do you use for oil in your pan when you're frying your fish? And what do you put in your batter mix?
What's in the fish cakes? They looked like a fish and potato mixture.

Hey Buddy !! Yep I'm loving that cot ! it was much more comfortable, I'm not 15 anymore, I cant just sleep on the ground haha
YES I should have known about the tent pole.... that was just dumb, next time I will bring a small 2X6 with me that I can put under that pole so it wont sink. The Cot didn't sink at all in the snow, I had a tarp under it, and it worked well.
For oil, I like the Chosen Avocado oil,(Get it at Costco and I think Walmart now) it's not bad for you and has a higher smoke temperature than Olive oil, so I use it for deep frying.
I just did a basic box of flour, garlic, onion, salt, pepper and some thyme. then once it was done I sprinkled a little Lowery's seasoning salt over everything.
Yep the cakes were salt cod, potatoes, onion, pepper and thyme. thats how my nanny always made them.

Noisy exhaust always makes me shake my head, especially if you use your machine for hunting. Maybe it’s for the people who never want to see any wildlife?

Hey dude. Nice hot tent atv camping video, your making me jealous. The snow is so deep here I don't want to risk it yet. Maybe soon now that the weather is warming up. The setup by the river was excellent. That's going to be a beautiful spot in the spring when the river opens up. Great food as always and the beer fridge in the tent was sweet! Winter has its pros for sure. Nice climb out of the river trench you were in. lol. Always something to worry about when your solo. Cheers
