What a stupid review of such a great car. I have a fiesta and ecosport and the ecosport has much more rear leg room than a fiesta. The ecosport is a great family car too. I also noticed they didn't point out that once the rear seats are folded down you can lift them up adding even more space. So ignore this review and try this car for yourself.

When will the Ford designers get that through their thick skulls?

Can u pls suggest that should i buy or not as ford is out of india and will it give me resale value later. Pls ur suggestion will help me.
Didn't bother folding the seats down to see if its flat. I'm looking for an automatic suv with a flat boot so can put an air bed inside or roof racks so can put a tent on top
Reviewer nowadays assuming SUV's crossover to handle like nissan gtr..I think carbuyers only high lighting the few negatives instead of the positive side of the car. It's solid and good looking car don't even think of Renault over ford.. you will definitely regret.
that's like me in the US. i bought a certified 2020 and i haven't had any issues with it. everyone that i've seen reviews from over here says it's a horrible car. honestly the 4 banger makes average fuel economy similar to other 4WD or AWD domestics (Chevolet Trailblazer, Jeep Compass & Renegade) and i have good level of visibility and everything. my only complaint is the crap Bridgestone Ecopia tires on it. they provide poor traction in snow. i had Firestone Weathergrip tires on my Fiat 500 and even that grabbed the road better which says something. i gotta replace them with some Weathergrips but other than that, i enjoy driving it
Terrible review, this car has a place in the market and most of the features she has a negative are what the market for this want. Don't listen to her, go and try one. My mum has the 1.0 ecoboost and pulls 55mpg easy, and she's a good fast driver if I say so myself!! When I drive it, it handles fine, is spacious and fun. Ford did well and this review is not.
Would be pleased to know what car this woman drives, saying that she probably designs the car herself as just doesn’t seem anything pleases her. I think its a great suv
Gavin Mcinally it's just a cheap car made for India. Problem is in the uk we get ripped off, should be cheaper than the fiesta. In the lowest spec with the smallest engine it's probably not a bad little workhorse but it's not a real ford. Even the crash rating is poor. 4 star ? Fiesta gained 5 star in 2008!
why England reviewer have negative opinions on each car which is not built in England? They must be paid by the local producers to this lousy kind of reviews. I saw the same attitude from "carwow" same clown!
When you watch other reviews regarding the same vehicle, and then test drive the car, you realise just how appalling this woman is at her job. Her face spoke volumes before she spoke. I guess if it were German she would be gushing praise on the vehicle!
I just don’t understand the Ford Ecosport. To me, it seems like Ford just launched a random SUV just to fill a gap in their car range, but without actually bothering to check whether it was actually good or not. It really bugs me every time I see one of these on the road; bought by people who were too innocent and therefore pushed into buying one by a desperate salesperson. :(
Tech OS All the EcoSport is is a model Ford has sold in India for years that they flung into Europe and North America. It was never intended to be sold outside of Asia which is why it doesn't really work for Europe or North America.
@@97I30T the 2018 is built in Europe - Romania cause now is intended for the European market. The ph1 model was crap in all aspects compared to the 2018. The 2018 version is a fantastic car for its price.
The car isn’t great but I’ve noticed a common trend that car buyer is very negative about most cars noticing every single negative thing about a car. Need to balance it more . More positive videos please
I wouldn't want this model I love the older one with the spare wheel on the back. It's a shame new cars don't that anymore EcoSport is probably one of the newest cars to still have that
At last, you have finally realized that having the camera outside the car whilst reviewing the back seats is not the cleverest way to do it, nor the most innovative.
I love how reviewers say it doesn't give you the confidence to overtake on the motorway. But it's BS. You need 50 hp for that. Literally. A 50 hp car can do 80 mph and the gaps on the motorway are large and the difference in speed is low. That's assuming you don't go on the motorway and drive 50 mph. In which case you shouldn't be driving. You need the confidence to overtake on country roads. Someone going 40 mph and there is some oncoming traffic. The gaps are smaller so you need to get a move on. THAT'S why you need power. Not for motorways.
Chris Till They're selling this crap in America now too and they're getting rid of the Fiesta entirely over here. Why would anyone buy this over a Fiesta?
This could actually be the worst car you can buy today. You can't use the boot half the time because you can't get in it, awkward to get kids in narrow doors, it manages to roll yet ride badly and it's not even cheap to run. How could Ford get this so wrong when the fiesta on which it's based is really good.
105% increase in 2018 for the new Ecosport. All those who bought it are stupid. The boot mate is designed like this cause in underdeveloped markets it carries the spare wheel there. Do your search and then say its the worst car. Ford is a leading company in Tech. See the 2019 Focus.

Btw what's one mainstream car build in and for UK? Nothing... Indians own jaguar and land rover, Germans own the mini and Bentley
Tvr is still owned by Russians and lotus is owned by Malaysians
I agree what a stupid review I have had two eco sports and they have both been good 👍 yes the boot is small but how much stuff do you need to take around great to drive and never let me down 👍
Who’s is better this or escape 2.0 awd
Hi
I regularly read ur reviews. I have a question i am planning to buy a car for my wife to pick and drop kids from school. And i have come across FORD ECOSPORTS. 2016 automatic 23 k kms done. Can u pls suggest that should i buy or not as ford is out of india and will it give me resale value later. Pls ur suggestion will help me.
Would love to but it but i cant look past the boot mechanism
It has four wheels and an engine, what more do u want?
Didn't bother folding the seats down to see if its flat. I'm looking for an automatic suv with a flat boot so can put an air bed inside or roof racks so can put a tent on top
Reviewer nowadays assuming SUV's crossover to handle like nissan gtr..I think carbuyers only high lighting the few negatives instead of the positive side of the car. It's solid and good looking car don't even think of Renault over ford.. you will definitely regret.
that's like me in the US. i bought a certified 2020 and i haven't had any issues with it. everyone that i've seen reviews from over here says it's a horrible car. honestly the 4 banger makes average fuel economy similar to other 4WD or AWD domestics (Chevolet Trailblazer, Jeep Compass & Renegade) and i have good level of visibility and everything. my only complaint is the crap Bridgestone Ecopia tires on it. they provide poor traction in snow. i had Firestone Weathergrip tires on my Fiat 500 and even that grabbed the road better which says something. i gotta replace them with some Weathergrips but other than that, i enjoy driving it
The only thing i like about this car is, its colour. Ginny was't too impressed either.
And we all know Ginny is suuuuuuch an expert..
Great review. Agreed, that tailgate is badly thought out. However, love the external re-style.....
I had a kuga 1.5 186 ecoboost driving sensibly never getting over 22mpg very costly in fuel if doing long journeys.
Is it that bad on fuel economy?
best car that compititors cant even dare to come close in its segment
Looks so much better than the puma
But the Puma is fine too though
This review is not really a true reflection of the car, they're being overly critical for no reason, most other reviews are fairer to the car
not what other reviews say ??
Would be pleased to know what car this woman drives, saying that she probably designs the car herself as just doesn’t seem anything pleases her. I think its a great suv
Well, at least it has a set of very decent alloy wheels on it
I live in the UK and the first time I seen one of these was yesterday. Looks like crap in real life to.
You shouldn't be allowed to review cars anymore.
I’m surprised Ford did the boot door like that. If u want a suv a kuga is a brilliant car
When you watch other reviews regarding the same vehicle, and then test drive the car, you realise just how appalling this woman is at her job. Her face spoke volumes before she spoke. I guess if it were German she would be gushing praise on the vehicle!
What an insult that they are still pushing this horrible vehicle??? It's worse then a Dacia, so it can only cost less!!!
Exactly look at my comment
Well... if there's nothing positive about the car why come up with something positive to say?
Lots of positives but what do you expect when a woman does a review of a car. Stick to you kitchen lady.
Heard the ecosport got problems on transmissions lately...we was about to bite the offer but good thing we dont.
Whats the point of this car when ford have the puma.?
This is a good review because it talks about practicality instead of horsepower and torque! Well done.
Car is good but not your review
Seems like she had it in for the car. She's suppose to be as objective as possible as a journalist and yet I sense she was against this one.
I love how they took a very solid and competitive car like the Fiesta and absolutely ruined it in basically every way possible.
Chris Till hahahaha was literally thinking the same thing. Agree. Dont forget that they get more money for the Eco as well. Sad
Chris Till how did they ruin the fiesta?
Chris Till They're selling this crap in America now too and they're getting rid of the Fiesta entirely over here. Why would anyone buy this over a Fiesta?
Good review! Thanks.
For as little as it costs I guess it's perfect
Also again how hard is it for manufactures to put a scuff plate on the rear bumper so annoying.
This is heart broken for me, because I just bought this car, waiting to collect in from the dealer in a few days.
Why she is so negative?
This could actually be the worst car you can buy today. You can't use the boot half the time because you can't get in it, awkward to get kids in narrow doors, it manages to roll yet ride badly and it's not even cheap to run. How could Ford get this so wrong when the fiesta on which it's based is really good.
105% increase in 2018 for the new Ecosport. All those who bought it are stupid. The boot mate is designed like this cause in underdeveloped markets it carries the spare wheel there. Do your search and then say its the worst car. Ford is a leading company in Tech. See the 2019 Focus.
