Thanks for the tutorial. Helped me quite abit on the way. What i also noticed is some stuff could stick around as well due to level of details. Some things to keep an eye on if badges and other things dont go away after exporting it.

Quick TIP: to select object easier, like the badges here, use the X-Ray mode (ALT+Z) to be able to select stuff using transparency. This would have been helpful here to select most of the vertices (also switch between the different vertex modes to select exactly what you want).
solumnz offers to import with _hi automatically, does that mean it debadges both reg and hi in the same time?

so when you modify/debadge or whatever you do to the model physically, will all that have any affect on its physics or anything like that? like will the car function properly in the game if i was to modify it in blender and add some stuff to it on the exterior?
Thanks for this, do you know how to modify modkits without them losing their positioning in game. E.g. I have a vehicle that I would like to remove the logo off a trunk/boot but when I modify the part it looks like it's floating behind and above the vehicle in game

Note!
If you have the collision disappear completely (that is, the car model disappears completely) when you click "hide collision".
Change Blender version to 4.0

hei can you help me when i edit my regular.yft and turn into xml and edit it in blender when i export it to my folder, i always got 2 file exported -> regularfile.xml and _hi.xml when i check it with codewalker the regularfile.xml after edited not being edited and still got like original before debadge and _hi.xml file i got from exported regular.xml is already debadge i dunno what should i do. and when i edit the _hi.xml and export it to my folder its okay just got _hi.xml file not 2 like regularfile.xml so if i put it into server, my server always crash because that regularfile.yft cannot success debadge
This still isnt available to find the info to debadge all of the car i have. Its not in the open IV under the layers or anything and i cant find it on the body of the vehicle can you help?

so i did everything you said in this video and i took the logos/names off the wheels but when brought into the server to test, the wheels start to glitch. slightly sink into the ground and pop back up. do you know why that happens or how i can fix it?
when i import the yft file and click remove collisions it disappears pretty much all together and does not show vehicle.

when i hide collsions the model dissapears and lines show up
question isnt it still breaking the new TOS changes even if their debadged / unbranded ? doesnt the look have to be 20/40% different for it to pass off as a different design to the car?. Also if the car has been ripped from another game it still breaks TOS even when debadged which they can compare the wireframes if they're. Better off making them from scratch which iv started to do but this is helped me to start getting into fivem vehicles. :)

it wont let me open any of my car files when i open codewalker. i have the updated version, but when i open it, it looks nothing like what you have in the video. lot of different folders but wont let me find my car files, its as if its not recognizing my PC. any help? all i did was download codewalker, and open it up.

For some reason that’s just how the models are most of the time, if you put it into open iv it’ll be like that but once spawned in game it’ll be fine
when i press hide collisions it makes the whole car disappear, and when i get rid of the cube the car still looks weird can someone help?

What do I do if my whole car disappears when hiding collisions
1. I can't select individual vehicle parts like you can.
2. I selected the vehicle collection and hit export etc and it says no Sollumz object to export.
3. When I open the ytf in RPFViewer it throws a massive error and crashes.

Putting a lore logo on the car does not make the car lore-freindly

Doesn't really have to be lol, I make them for my personal use as well. Some even turned into full lore-friendly cars eventually.
i followed all the steps but then i change the name to hi.yft it dosnt show the model in open iv or rpf explorer
so can someone give e some advice here, ive debadged and exported both the yft and hi_yft files, when i put them in a file to view, the hi_yft is correct with no badges but the regular yft file looks like i didn't even touch it, ive plugged both back into blender and both models show up in blender with no badges
Totally normal, it's gonna work properly in FiveM. Make sure you don't have a yft_hi being exported when you modify a yft, that's it

Just curious is that mostly all it takes to avoid copyright issues? As long as you remove the badge or logo
at the time of the recording of the video, that is the information I had. However, it could change at any time and its best to get direct updates from CFX or Rockstar.
No it wont. Car needs to look different. Yor server still can get DMC. It takes someone to actually report your server and the brand itself need to issue a seize and desist letter.
So i did everything you showed but when i import it into codewalker the hi.yft shows the badge is removed but not the regular .yft

My Cars don't have collisions after the Debadge. does someone know why this is?
blender fucks collision over you need to redone them after exporting from blender

Fixed it. I reinstalled blender to the newest version
you should clearlify that you can only do this on unlocked models and cannot be done if you do now have the rights for the models itself ive seen alot of people that do not have the model rights that have been unlocking vehicles from devs and when i asked them about it they post this video

Hey, how can I remove the logo from steering wheel, I have been trying this from last 2 days but can't figure out.
should be able to remove it the same way you remove the other logos

**WHEN YOU LAUNCH CODEWALKER** to find the file you want to get the XML's for, you need to Click File>Open Folder>Select Folder

When you say map car textures are you refering to completely unwrapping a car and making a custom texture or are you refering to a livery ?

The only files you need to edit when debadging a car is the yft and the _hi.yft but you have to export it as an XML through codewalker, when done in blender you have to put the XML’s back into yft

Hey so the _hi works fine but the other one still shows the logo any thing I did wrong. In the mean time I’ve just been copy and pasting the _hi to the other one hoping it works in the server.
Hi! I would try to debadge it again and put the debadged version elsewhere and see if the issue continues, I’ve not heard of that problem occurring before so it may just be something you’re doing wrong during the export process maybe?
@@Animahhh is it fine to just duplicate the file as a _hi or will that make the car not work? I’ve done like 10 cars for my friends and they go in the server tomorrow so I need to know if I need to fix them
@@tapu5509 duplicating the _hi I wouldn’t recommend doing, the vehicle needs both LOD’s to preserve the shape, texture and quality whilst it’s streaming into the server

what does this mean ? Could not find _hi yft for chartrxleo_hi.yft.xml! Make sure there is a file named 'chartrxleo_hi_hi.yft.xml' in the same directory!
