:18 that first note happens, his picking is in time... his fret hand is 4 frets lower than it should be and sliding up in the air to GET to that fret! This is horrible finger syncing to a prerecorded track. :(

If someone of Al's stature (musical stature) can't be bothered to ACCURATELY play the melody of his own tune to the prerecorded track, I can't be bothered watching the vid. If you are the type that doesn't care about anything until you're on the operating table, great for you. Sure, Al is a famous and really good guitarist. All the more reason to learn his own song b4 filming the vid. :(
@@retroray58warby98 well, tbh, I only watched a tiny part then got disappointed when I saw he wasn't playing it live but also not finger syncing it well. :( I think Al is an amazing player. I was just disappointed that he didn't take the time to get the filming tight, that's really it.

those unison parts sound an awful lot like Estradasphere to me.
The video is hard to watch. You can tell much of the songs details were improvised and Al didn’t memorize all those details.
