Good vids but other tips You can make diy incubators You don’t need a shelving unit Or that sprayer just get a spray bottle unless you have one 3 pairs like in his case also start out with just one pair so if you fuck up at least there isn’t a lot of money and baby gecko lives go ne
No offense but this in my opinion, is inefficient, it works just the same trust me, and you did a great job, but for $180 I can make an 18 tub X 16-quart rack for $180 with heat tape and a decent thermostat, you need Melamine boards some very thin compact baord wood( doesn't touch the heat tape used to elevate the tub while keeping it off the tape like a centimeter) And I hate lids im sorry but i do, i like to pull the tub out and be able to water and feed and clean in seconds i hate having to take the tub out then open it then clean and ect i know its a matter of a few seconds but when you have so many to go thru in one night like i do, and please don't take this as a "hahaha you suck" thats not what im trying to say, you did an awesome job and it works great and your doing it right but for cheaper or the same with more tubs more enclosed to hold heat better and humidity and to me looks better, but i want to clarify you still did a great job. and if you want to learn more or interested ill go over more in detail just message my google plus garbage lol i think people can still do that lol.
should you put the female into the males tank or vise versa? I think I have everything else ready but this will be my fisrt clutch. I am trying to see if my female is ready but its hard to tell. When is the best time to start breeding?
I always put my males in the females tank. It puts less stress on the female because she is already familiar with her enclosure. She needs lots of strength for her long clutch ahead so less stress is better! Most recommend checking if your female is visibly ovulating yet, in order to breed, but all of my females ovulation shows very faintly so I usually just put a male in over night, check in a week to see if female is producing eggs inside of her, if not it will not hurt at all to put the male back in for another night! I will make a detailed on all this so you can better understand hopefully:)
Garrett Rose Wonderful! Haha I will be looking forward to that. I think I have the whole set up ready I got a rack system of 10 with heat. Would that be enough for one females babies? I know they lay a couple clutches so I was hoping it would be enough. >.
Anywhere from 88-93 degrees has proven to be optimal for me, and yes they eat the oats , but it is always good to provide the worms with greens for hydration.
Lol mine is cheaper cuz the hide is from the styrofoam meat tray things that got cut in half, paper towel for substarte and a bottle cap for water bottle
Absolutely do a video on how you hooked the different strips up in parallel. Thank you in advance.
I will soon!
Wonderful! I look forward to it.
Hi Garrett. Your heat tape. I couldn't see the ends insulated...... I hope they are and not bare as you would know about it if you touched it
They are insulated :)
@@GarrettRose good to hear was just making sure great work

That should be enough, most females first clutches average at around 6 eggs!
A female is ready to breed when it’s about 45-50 grams minimum
When will you do a wiring video?
In the next week or 2
Please show how to wire the tape
but the geckos in austria costs 90€ and they only sell it in pairs...soo min. 200€ setup and 180€ geckos XD
I dont include the geckos as part as the setup, because you can go in so many directions with genetics and such. :)
Schau bei dem züchter Inferno leopardgeckos vorbei bei ihm kann man auch alleine kaufen.
Hello my name is zeus and I'm from spain I would like to ask you what temperature you keep the geckos and if the tenebrios use it as food base thanks

link for the heat tape?
What do you use for the heat source?
Heat tape

If you don’t want to do it they can do it for you
you have 6 tubs and room for 3 more, how can this possibly be a set up for breeding if each gecko lays 2 eggs on average lol wtf!
16 quarts is way too small! 40 quarts at least.
Ace 614 no it’s not you obviously know nothing about gecko breeding
Do "penis squares"...?? Around second 40*
You don’t need a sprayer
Does this work for bd
Jamie Alford no
If you only have $200 you should not even think about breeding any type of living animal.
What if you breed and sell for a living and your poor
