- India has many National Parks, Wildlife Sanctuaries, and Biosphere Reserves for conservation of rare species. An area which has ecological, faunal, floral, geomorphological, or zoological association or importance is called National Park or Wildlife Sanctuary. National park and Wild Life Sanctuary are declared by State Government under Wildlife (Protection) Act,1972. The Central Government may also declare, Wild Life Sanctuary and National Park under certain conditions.

Sundarban must be in list,as it is the World's largest mangrove belt(Share with Bangladesh). A typical saline water habitat as well as one and only mangrove habitat of Royal Bengal Tigers(Panthera tigris tigris) in the World. It is also a UNESCO World Heritage Site (1987) also declared as Ramsar Site(2019),it is also considered as World Network of Biosphere Reserve. It is also home of endangered species like Irrawaddy Dolphins,estuarine crocodiles and critically endangered river terrapin. How do you skip this one??Not expected.

National parks are not restricted to one state sometimes they may include two states or more
