We know Lowry from your Facebook page, but we’re so used to hearing you call her Mrs. H here that when you said “Lowry” in this video, it took a half a second to realize who you were talking about. Haha
I came across your channel today, and I really appreciate the close up shave, I am myself getting into double edge shaving, and this showcased the usage of the blade perfect, and also very chill vibe.
Hi Paul- Great shave; thank you! Very nice gear for your shave. The Sudsy Soapery does whip-up into a nice lather with great slickness. Wonderful flowers from Mrs H; many thanks, as always! I hope you have a great rest of the week. Take good care and be safe and be well. See you on Sunday for the weekend shave. All the best, Paul!
Got the 42c as my starter DE razor a few weeks ago! 7 shaves in and so far so good. Not a lot of video reviews up for it so this is much appreciated. Cheers from Canada
You are right about appreciating things more as you get older. SOTD Mercur Futur on 3 with Voshkod ( did put a blade in mine ) and Stirling Coniferous. I can't bring myself to use any other razor but it is still the new kid on the block. Have a good rest of the week.
I love the vintage look on the 42C. Nice mild razor. Sudsy soaps are amazing and I wouldn't mind trying the rose & black pepper. I have the Pumpkin Spice and the Pine & Cedar. Scent and quality are excellent. Incident free shave for you today Paul. The bouquet in the background by Mrs H is beautiful, the colors sure light up the room. Thank you for the Wednesday shave!
Good afternoon Paul! The pink roses are very nice; thank you Mrs. H!! I quite like the Merkur 1904 style razor. Rose scented shaving soaps are nice to my nose. I have 3 different rose soaps: Martin de Candre, Soap Commander Love, and vintage Williams Luxury shave stick. All of those smell so good. First pass and your shave looks great...good enough to go to work for sure. Those Gillette Nacet blades are sharp and so smooth. Good combination; Merkur 42C and Gillette Nacet. SOTD: Rex Envoy razor loaded with an out of production early 2000's Gillette Platinum Swede blade (2nd use). Pre-1960 Williams Mug soap lathered with a Simpson Trafalgar T3 synthetic brush. Finished with Thayer's AF SF skin toner and PAA Diver Down aftershave. That vintage Gillette Swede blade is super sharp and smooth enough and getting smoother. By the amount of blood, I must have the most BBS shave in shave history. Needed a pint of blood to top me up. That is a crackin" shave Paul! Stay safe and healthy. Cheers.
I might try the 41c for the first time this evening. I know not exact same, but same 'series' ... Also trying a PAA soap for the first time... Cold Spice, CaD, or ClubGuy...
Great shave. My SOTD tomorrow is gonna be of the KCG razor with a Dorco ST300 blade to try out, Wholly Kaw Sandhurst soap, knockoff Old Spice AS from Family Dollar and the Omega 10066 brush. It’s starting to get nicer as temps in my city are rising not tremendously but a little after a period of bitter cold and snowy weather
Great Shave Paul I saw that razor today on a site I was browsing I may eventually pick it up. That soap seems great I like Rose but cannot use anything with pepper in it unfortunately. Very nice flowers Mrs H as usual. Take care :)
Hello Paul, Very smooth shave today. Beautiful flowers Mrs H! IMO, merkur razors are excellent. SOTD: Gillette flare tip super speed [F3 '60] Gillette Perma-Sharp blade 2nd use. Proraso white shave cream, J + C synthetic brush, Dickinson's witch hazel, Paul Sebastian AS lotion. Take care and have a great rest of the week.
SOTD: Rockwell 6s plate 4 with a Gillette Platinum blade, PAA ESP soap and aftershave, PAA Peregrino brush and Nivea Maximum Hydration balm. Have a good one! Steve
SOTD, Think I will try the Sudsy Soapery Chypre today. I love their base. They only use essential oils, no perfume, so their scents are not going to last. I used their unscented soap last. It's top tier, IMO. Gillette, the new short comb (4 days growth) Wizamet blade Semogue SOC badger Stirling unscented balm Myrsol Emulsion as a pre
Great shave Paul!! I love the Murker closed-combed razors, my usual daily driver is the Murker Travel Razor but I put the head on a Muhle handle. I am an evening shaver but I already know what I am going to use, and I am looking forward to it! SOTD: Edwin Jagger DE89BA11, a second use Voskhod blade, Proraso Pre-Shave Cream (Blue), West Coast Shaving Fougere (made by Catie's Bubbles), Omega 13522 Banded Boar Hair Brush, PAA Travel Scuttle, Proraso Green Aftershave, and finally Geo F. Trumper Coral Skin Food
Great shave as always Paul 💈 Very pretty display Mrs H 🌺 We've had the blustery winds etc too. Seem to have this weather alot these days! Have a great rest of the week both 💈🌺💈
I always liked the smell of pepper in both cooking and perfumery. The smell of a rose i don’t like, but this is a very popular note.) Seems it's a good shaving soap. Thank you so much!
Great shave Paul💈💈 Nice looking razor, unique handle. Soap looks good as well. Not a fan of floral scents really, Lavender is nice occasionally. Nacet blades work good for me too. Flowers are gorgeous today as usual, thanks Mrs H. SOTD: Stirling "Spice" soap/splash/EDT, RazoRock "Mamba 70" razor w/Personna red(no xtra shaving today), PAA synth brush, alum, witch hazel and Nivea balm to close...stellar. Nice easy no issue shave there, can't beat it. Stay safe and well. Enjoy!
Hi Paul. I bought the 1904 some years back and thought it was just a little to mild. (Probably my technique back then and I wasn`t to crazy about the short sometimes slippery handle.) But lately I`ve used it with a longer Parker handle and I`m really starting to like it. Same head as the 34c I`m told. Take care. Cheers😀
Beautiful display by Mrs H once again!!!! And wonderful choices to shave with Paul!! I hope you and your family are doing well. My SOTD will be the Gillette Super Adjustable 109 with a Gillette Platinum blade, Simpson Trafalgar T3 Synthetic Brush, PAA The Cube 2.0 preshave, Ariana and Evans The Novelist soap and aftershave, with Ariana and Evans Postshave Serum to seal the deal. My meal of the day is just some Homemade pizzas cooked on the outdoor pizza oven, with some cold beer and chicken wings with Mango Habernero sauce and Blue cheese for dipping. Have a wonderful day and stay safe!!!!
Nice mild relaxing shave Paul. I didn't feel a thing. Unlike your last video, I had razor burn for 2 days. Will his Lordship be calling for his Easter egg this year if restrictions are relaxed?
A rose soap that has really grown on me is Inferno by The Goodfellas' Smile. Worth a look. If you like one that smells (to me) a lot like a sporty shower gel, check out Abysso.
Hi Paul, I’m relatively new to wet shaving and I must say after using cartridges for the last 30 years I’ve never enjoyed shaving as I do now. Your videos have inspired me and I very much look forward to your twice a week segments. I bought a Rockwell 6C in gunmetal like the one you’ve used and tried many blades so far. I know that the Personna Reds are your go to blades and I’ve seen you use the med prep ones but have you tried the lab blue ones? Just curious to see how they compare. Anyway take care. Peter, from Montreal.
Shave of the day: Wilkinson Sword tto classic razor Feather blade Omega 48 brush Nivea body shave soap stick. Not so bad weather down south so I had Alexa play thundery weather background noise...lol
I see the cat has been "playing with you" again on the inside right forearm! I used to love it when a cat would sink its razor sharp claws into me, only for the owner to say "It's just playing" 🤔
Only the ideea of roses in a men's product is bad ... also lavander and vanilla. Lavander is use for sleeping purposes, and is not a good ideea to induce sleep in the shaving procedure ... in the morning time . But we have all kind of "men" in this world ... so maybe they are the target for this kind off stuff; and we have also womens who likes the sent of floral theme ... but with pepper ?! You have growing scars from cats ... nobody's counting, but they are so much more and visible: watch the nose ! :)
A nice, smooth, and calming shave as usual. You do have a gift for gab. I feel like we're old friends.
Thank you, i love videos with these classic razors 👍
We know Lowry from your Facebook page, but we’re so used to hearing you call her Mrs. H here that when you said “Lowry” in this video, it took a half a second to realize who you were talking about. Haha
I am a huge fan of Sudsy Soapery products!
I came across your channel today, and I really appreciate the close up shave, I am myself getting into double edge shaving, and this showcased the usage of the blade perfect, and also very chill vibe.
Triple chins are only available at the grocery store. They're on special in the sweets isle this week.
I love Merkur, 42C like wind, delicate, very smooth and confortable. No stress by shaving, enjoy and Best Regards from Switzerland
Hi Paul- Great shave; thank you! Very nice gear for your shave. The Sudsy Soapery does whip-up into a nice lather with great slickness. Wonderful flowers from Mrs H; many thanks, as always! Paul i just got one of these razors last week - i think its brilliant - not too aggressive - not too many vids on this razor so much appreciated
What a relaxing and enjoyable shave. Always great to watch your videos when I have the time, Paul. Thank you and Mrs. H.
Got the 42c as my starter DE razor a few weeks ago! 7 shaves in and so far so good. Not a lot of video reviews up for it so this is much appreciated. Cheers from Canada
Great razor Jeff, regards to you in Canada 🪒👍
Nice shave today. The 42C always gives a good reliable shave. Nice flower arrangement Mrs. H. See you on Sunday.
Is the 42c more aggressive than de89
Mrs H. deserves 1080p for her work on the flowers.
You are right about appreciating things more as you get older. SOTD Mercur Futur on 3 with Voshkod ( did put a blade in mine ) and Stirling Coniferous. I can't bring myself to use any other razor but it is still the new kid on the block. Have a good rest of the week.

Great shave Paul. Mrs H's flower are beautiful as usual! :):)
Nice looking razor. Very reminiscent of the razors the germans were issued in world war 2.
Hi Paul I have a 34C razor and would like to get a Parker 87R is the Parker mild like the 34C Thanks
If I attempted half of that my face would take a month of Sunday’s to recover! My skin just can’t take it. Your fortunate!
I always liked the smell of pepper in both cooking and perfumery. The smell of a rose i don’t like, but this is a very popular note.) Seems it's a good shaving soap. Thank you so much!

It's not your sideburns that aren't level... They're fine.... It's your Ears that aren't. 🤪
Only messing. Great video 👍

I guess, compare to Merkur Vision, every shave with any razor would be smooth, mild and comfortable😅😆
