If your using lavender essential oil and your customer is pregnant, breast feeding, under 7yrs old or elderly plz don't use the type called Lavendula Augistifolia as it's toxic to them, their Bodies can't circulate the strong oils out of their Bodies - Also if your Customers are on Heart Medication, Blood Pressure Medications, Anti-Depressants or Warfran not to use any Essential oils or fragrances containing Grapefruit as it can interact with the serotonin levels in the brain. Other oils not to use while Pregnant or Breast feeding are: citrus oils, such as tangerine & Neroli, German camomile common lavender (lavender officials) Frankincense, Black Pepper, Peppermint, Ylang Ylang, Eucalyptus Bergamot, Cypresstm, Tea Tree oil (especially not in labour) Geranium, Spearmint are Oils that are not safe for you to use Don't use the following essential oils while you are pregnant: Nutmeg, which may have hallucinogenic effects and react with pain-relieving drugs in labour. Rosemary & Ylang Ylang which will increase blood pressure & cause contractions. Basil contributes to abnormal cell development. Jasmine & Clary Sage will trigger contractions. Sage & Rose, will cause bleeding in your uterus (womb). Juniper berry affects your kidneys. Laurel, Angelica, Black Pepper, Thyme, Cumin, Aniseed, Citronella & Cinnamon leaf should also be avoided as they will stimulate contractions.
That mix is gorgeous and I have to get some! I love using oil infusions in my soaps and I don't do it nearly as much as I would like. I run the organic garden at my school with the help of many of our autistic students, and I use many of the herbs that we grow in my infusions. I am looking to make face/body oil with coconut oil .. how long do I need to infuse the herbs in coconut oil ? do I need to put them on stove with double boiler or just soak the herbs in coconut oil for dew days ? thanks you .. great video .. love your content .. love from London
I subscribed as I also have an Autistic 14 year old son! He is brilliant, but not the best communicator. I use herbal alternatives in the form of salves, soaps and candles to use as calming agents for my son. We as parents refuse to use chemical medications for our son, Dr.'s here push to hard to medicate children. I feel this is wrong! My husband and I feel there are other alternatives to meds. In fact a Dr. gave our then 3 year old son a prescription that was enough to put an adult man down! I went home and researched it before we gave it to him and promptly threw it in the garbage, it was a large dose of Ativan. Thanks,NO, not for my child! That's when I looked into natural alternatives!!!

+Tina Califano I am so glad you liked the video. There are a couple different ways of using the oil for soap. You would want to use it with a mix of some hard oils. Something moisturizing. Just remember to enter it into your soap calculator at the base oil that you use. I hope this helps. :)

For some reason my infusions will get mold sometimes and i'm wondering if its from the steam from the top of the crockpot? I only have Low and High settings on my crockpot so maybe its getting too hot? Any thoughts you have are appreciated! :) Thank you for this video, and for all you're doing for the Autistic community!

Robin Baglietto A drop of water in oil spoils it. Never cover oil during the process as the fine droplets of water will produce mold.
It's happens when your herbs are not super dry .... You have to make sure it's dry dry dry. ... That's the key
It's not properly infused..All you will get is the scent of the flowers
So can you use a crockpot to infuse your herbs or no.
