This is not just a song. It's a call for reparation, an assertion of the rights of indigenous people, and as forceful a statement as i can imagine. Trust Briggs to say what others fail to say, I'm a white English pensioner and this hits me straight to the heart. Every country has skeletons in the cupboard. We need to bring them out and acknowledge the mistakes of the past and NEVER EVER go there again. Love Briggs

    • @Philbertfrog420

What dont they get...? They have access to all the shit whites do, we see their stuff all the time, they got a sorry.. have access to make rap music even.😂😂 the fact they arrived just like the whites is funny, blood tests show Indian and Asian heratige as they travelled here just like white folks did.

I've had the privilege and honour of sitting down and yarnin to Briggs and Trials. That memory will forever sit with me. That moment where they gave a no name, nothing young indigenous man there time, is a testament to who they are.

♥️💛🖤We so love your work & passion Briggsy and your take on this superb song by the late Uncle Archie… my son’s Aboriginal Liaison Officer picked this song for the FN’s kids at his Primary School in Darwin to sing for the Reconcilliation Assembly. He arrived home so excited to sing it and show me and made me cry as, little did he know, when I was really young, growing up in Melb’s, I used to go and see Archie and P.K and other mob sing in old pubs in Fitzroy & Brunswick… such a beautiful legacy! (And we love the late Dr G too who I always played to my son when his Dad was away and he couldn’t have his Dad play the guitar to him so he fell asleep)💜💜💜🎶🎵😌

What a great song, shades of TISM's Greg The Stop Sign, a truly great Australian unappreciated song, this song goes a step further than just a great song and represents a feeling and an emotion, not only a great tune but depth deserving to have much more than a sad 268 likes, and the one dislike just goes to show that you can't win them all. I see a big future for Briggs and this song may be the one that takes him there. Thanks Briggs for sharing your thoughts and paying homage to those that deserve.
