I had fun running with Ares X3 enough to blow away all my stress on this day. The reason why the video title says it's not for everyone is because the Ares X3 was a board with a clear concept that allows you to feel the best performance on the pavement. However, I think it is a board that can be strongly recommended for riders who prefer street-type riding or who want to enjoy street riding more professionally. And personally, Ares X3 was a board with very satisfactory performance in many ways.
I have one of these boards and really enjoy riding it as its so quiet..I put ABEC 11 107mm wheels on it and it was like skating on ice so quick and smooth and fast...It tops out at 66kph now..I changed out the bushings and its even better..Its a favorite and it looks really cool ..im so grateful to have it and love riding it...🚀
Mad Wheels 105 is more recommended than the Rovers 110R. And I tried the Rover 105R, and it didn't fit well with the Abec wheel pulley on the X3 and I felt a lot of clearance in the core. Or 115 rubber wheels would be nice. (acedeckboards.com/products/115mm-rubber-wheel)
Only concerning for me was the clearance on the motors but if they allow the riders to have 100mm and up, that should help greatly. Looks like nice downhill racing or track racing board. Also, they could fit bigger battery in there if they did Mboards' way by adding two ESCs in the back on single heatsink. Only reason that I'm going to avoid Acedeck is that it's nearly impossible to get e-boards within Canada here due to insane taxes and shipping.
Yeah, this is such a board. And that's too bad. But Our country's import tariffs are also not easy. :( Hope there is a good way to get a board in the future
Fantastic review as always. Such a quick board. looks really stable too. Really love the idea of AWD direct drive and I've ridden a few others, but I would really like to see some form of motor guards for protection.
Fantastic thorough review as always. Please always do they hill test for all boards as well and without criticizing any board I love to know how they compare. Cheers

OMG! The board is so quiet! It isn't bone crushingly heavy either. ❤ Acedeck seem to have really good customer service because they always respond to my questions rapidly. Incidentally, they need to upgrade that remote! If I tried the remote you used on the Endeavor Pro 2, I'd find it hard to go back to that copy and paste design with the black and white text. 🔙🤚
⚡ *Great openin shot!* Your downhill stance/form is cleeean 🤙🏼⚡ I really love split/wedge setups! Heavy board 😮 You were flyin on that thing, looks so stable even when carvin at speed.
Nicely shot and edited video as always, and it looks like an impressive board. Would be nice to see a bigger battery and some Formula 110’s on the corners. Of course I’d add surf adapters and flip the rear trucks😊
@@EverybodyEditsHacks check out Waterborne surf adapters, they are amazing. They mount between your trucks and deck. The front has a massive trailing arm linkage that allows massive turning agility from the front end. Th rear is just two rails with elastomers that allow the rider to lean over with a lot of angle to help turn the front. I flip the rear trucks because, with so much front agility the rear can focus on stability. This way the board is extremely agile and responsive, yet is also impossible to speed wobble at high speeds. It improves traction and control durning hard cornering and carving.
@@sageoz9886 WOW! I watched your video and your board looks incredible, I need to see that thing in action. I also watched some videos on the surf adapter and it looks really fun. I might have to try this out for myself!
It feels less jerk when starting off, and it accelerates smoothly but very quickly and the speed rises up. It feels like a hub motor, but if you think it's very fast, it'll be similar.
Considering how you describe the handling and performance on the X3 I'm wondering how the Raith Vengeance from Raith Skateboards would compare 🤔? It certainly is a contender in this road runner category of boards :))
Hello, looks like you cannot use bigger wheels due to wheel bite which would be good given the direct drive motors. Also, Kegel adaptors would be nice. Thanks
great video again Juin, I was waiting to know what u t thoughts on this board were, I can see u like it. Now I have to choose between this and the Flipsky lightning, I know, completely different boards but equally thrilling I reckon
Hello, I have one question. How do you like the Acedeck 97 mm rubber wheels in terms of comfort, grip and fun compared to regular PU street wheels and as an intermediate option to AT wheels. Thank you
Hi, definitely rubber material, so it had a better grip compared to PU wheels. It depends on the rider, but it's not a bad choice if you prefer a comfortable riding texture.~
Have you had any issues with the motor bearings? I have massive problems with grinding noises in my direct drive onsra which uses the same motors i think. Changing motor bearings is not that easy on the direct drive and has not solved the problem.
@@Steven-qm1xo let's just say from their "engineers" telling me the battery is the issue and after a month getting it, oh it was actually the esc and another month passed still the same. posted on insta and they accused me of lying. published all the emails, videos and suddenly, they replaced esc's on most nomads. I sold it at loss and never ever again. lesson learnt
4wd is a red herring. it's either too heavy or too expensive. Really I don't know who this board is for. Racing scenario, it's too slow, compared to some of the heavy hitters in the scene. I'd rather have a bigger battery for the same price. Comeon Ares, build a real racing 4wd board, swappable battery is what we want to keep the weight down.
It’s for people who like riding street with direct drive. 4WD direct is very different from 4WD belt. It feels very smooth and torque-y, especially in the carves. It’s also absolutely silent, which really changes the ride feeling (you’d be surprised how much motor noise affects it). If you’ve never ridden DD, it’s hard to explain the appeal, but it’s there and can be very fun versus belt, gear, or hub drives. This isn’t a racing board. It’s a perfect board for chilling out on and relaxing while going on long rides.
