There is also an area in Abidjan called Biafra where the most of the population are nigerians. Even another business place called Adjamé where there are many nigerians yoruba and Igbo doing business. We are all african family cote d'ivoire and Nigeria! MAY GOD BLESS OUR TWO COUNTRIES!🙏

I am from Ejigbo, in Osun State. When I saw this video, I kind of knew Ejigbo might be mentioned. However, it is not true that French is our second language. We also spend Naira, not CFA. Yes, people who have lived in Cote D'Ivoire, soeaks French, whenever they come home to Ejigbo, we eat a number of Ivorian dishes, but , it is not our second language, English isn't banned, we don't spend CFA. It is amazing. Naira was being subsidised under GEJ and PMB. It is now that we know the value of naira. Through the Industrial Revolution, the country will get its glory back. I really appreciate your video.

    • @africanmessage9846

@annefranciselizabeth3840 Knowing a nation's reality and current position allows the nation to work harder to improve its standing in order to expedite the nation's demise rather than leave under the deception that everything is OK. There is no doubt that the current situation is extremely difficult, but it will improve quickly. It's best to face reality. The problem with you is that you lack basic argumentation; you can set out your case without using a pseudonym. It is my viewpoint, and you have the right to yours. Civility is paramount. It’s mixed also like Nigerian Pigeon so don’t think you would learn French coming here (Ejigbo) , also Yoruba spoken big here
French is spoken to Abidjan natives who are yet to adapt to Ejigbo but lots of people understand it because of their time in Abidjan , I hope what I saying makes sense ? 😂

Typical Franco elitism! They are obviously working people and perfectly understand each other whether in Ivory Coast or Nigeria and are successful in both countries. So obviously their French is ok. Most Nigerians in markets barely speak English. Are we going to pretend Nigeria has 100% literacy rate? Smh

Ejigbo is the only place in Nigeria where you can meet and exchange in french fluently!! You can easily meet folks that speak good and strong french !! Nigerians born and raised in Abidjan, students, workers, intellectuals used to visit Ejigbo!! You can meet them there of course!! I think i'ts the easiest way for someone that wants to learn Moliere language without moving to FRANCE !! Ejigbo is my town ! I was born and raised in Ivory Coast !!

I’m from ejigbo but I was born in Côte d’Ivoire . I can speak and write in French, English and Yoruba languages.
There’s a lot of mistakes you mentioned in this video .
Firstly not everybody speaks French, and Cfa is not their trading means . Cfa is acceptable anywhere in ejigbo but Most of these traders doesn’t accept Cfa because of one reason which I will not mention here,
Ejigbo is very outdated from any other town in osun , no bank , no good road , level of insecurity in 2024 is massive, trust me all my saying is true. I live here in ejigbo, how I wish could have been in this video I would have narrated many challenges that we ejigbo people are facing

Though, you have commenced a great initiative nevertheless, much still remain to make progress. Don't foeget that Nigeria shares borders with four French speaking countries that makes French language what Nigeria government should not treat with kids glove. Apart from French village in Badagry, there is nowhere in Nigeria where the language is giving prominence and this is an avenue to call the attention of the government to seize the available opportunity in Ejigbo to creat another french orientational centre. Thank God, Mr Président has just left France with series of bilateral engagement.

There is Ejigbo in Osun State, that’s where I grew up.
For a long while, I didn’t know there was an Ejigbo in Lagos state too.
What he claimed here is not all true though. A lot of people (maybe more than half) can speak French fluently. But there are also people like us who are/were not indigenes and either do not understand French or understand English better.
I never spent CFA while in Ejigbo (and I spent about 18 years there)
