Yes, people who have lived in Cote D'Ivoire, soeaks French, whenever they come home to Ejigbo, we eat a number of Ivorian dishes, but , it is not our second language, English isn't banned, we don't spend CFA. I can't even communicate fluently in French, despite being born and brought up in Ejigbo. Peace

I’m from ejigbo but I was born in Côte d’Ivoire . I can speak and write in French, English and Yoruba languages. There’s a lot of mistakes you mentioned in this video . Firstly not everybody speaks French, and Cfa is not their trading means . Cfa is acceptable anywhere in ejigbo but Most of these traders doesn’t accept Cfa because of one reason which I will not mention here, Ejigbo is very outdated from any other town in osun , no bank , no good road , level of insecurity in 2024 is massive, trust me all my saying is true. There is Ejigbo in Osun State, that’s where I grew up. For a long while, I didn’t know there was an Ejigbo in Lagos state too. What he claimed here is not all true though. A lot of people (maybe more than half) can speak French fluently. But there are also people like us who are/were not indigenes and either do not understand French or understand English better. I never spent CFA while in Ejigbo (and I spent about 18 years there)

Accommodation is affordable there. Ejigbo is in Osun states not really far from ogbomosho, and they have direct buses to Abidjan

Don't foeget that Nigeria shares borders with four French speaking countries that makes French language what Nigeria government should not treat with kids glove. Apart from French village in Badagry, there is nowhere in Nigeria where the language is giving prominence and this is an avenue to call the attention of the government to seize the available opportunity in Ejigbo to creat another french orientational centre. There is Ejigbo in Osun State, that’s where I grew up.
For a long while, I didn’t know there was an Ejigbo in Lagos state too.
What he claimed here is not all true though. A lot of people (maybe more than half) can speak French fluently. But there are also people like us who are/were not indigenes and either do not understand French or understand English better.
I never spent CFA while in Ejigbo (and I spent about 18 years there)
