I'm a guitarist by the way but I REALLY appreciate an amazing bassist. I'm not competitive when it comes to playing. I enjoy jamming with people that have less equal or more talent than myself. I love experimenting with a variety of different artists with different instruments.

Can confirm, I was about 15 or 16 when I started watching Davie, immediately picked up a bass, I'm 22 now and still playing !!!
No matter how you feel about Davie, you have to appreciate the fact that he ALWAYS tries to bring a bigger audience to relatively smaller musicians. And he succeeds. Behind all of the memes and jokes you can see he is a genuinely good guy. He does not need to do any of this, and yet he still does it. Someone to aspire to be like.
Agreed. The "attitude" is a show, he's just bringing great love to the bassists around the world. Truly awesome.
Y, He is doing great stuff ! Billy Sheehan and Danny Carey are the same, just amazing folks ! REALLY Care about passing the ROCK to the young ones . It IS working , I have seen more talent the last few years than in the last 20 combined.

It's amazing how many of them have developed distinct styles and fills of their own. My favorite part though was how the little girl bassist smiled when she gave you a good well-deserved slap after your "battle" 🥳
Ellen will be a significant player... she's doing great now, and the best part, is that she looks like she's having a good time... unstoppable!

First I must say Davie is awesome! Bought and played my first bass at 55 after playing alto and tenor sax from the 7th grade. I love music and I have always been a bass fan. Wish me luck on my journey into bass playing, and of course Slapping!

Hey Davie, I know you probably won't see this, but you were one of my biggest inspirations to learn bass, I've been playing it for 4 months now and I *love* it, I'm usually pretty unmotivated to do things but Bass is the first thing that I've actually been passionate about doing in a really, *really* long time. I even joined Jazz band at school to learn and I've made some new friends. Basically, what I'm trying to say here is thanks for introducing me to Bass, it's pretty much changed my life. :)

Somehow the TH-cam algorithm introduced me to Ellen plays bass. I have been seeing her progress and she really is an amazing young bassist. Al of these other young kids are very good as well. Hats off to you for featuring them.

I'm a Bass player myself, I learned it from my Dad when I was 10 years old, and over the years I learned other styles from other Bass players. I'm 56 years old now and still play, I'm pretty good at it, my style is Country Music, and Country Gospel Music. I played in 2 different singing group, not a singer myself but Bass Guitar Player. Again I been playing for 46 years. And when I see a young kid that plays the Bass, I think it is awesome.

Amazing talent that leaves one stupefied. I began playing at an early age but was no where near the immersion factor these young musicians are. It is a true joy to see the enthusiasm they display when performing as it brings old memories to light, and gives birth to the emotional tide that pulls us back in time to when we felt that rush of excitement when our captive audience for a brief moment, regarded us as spectacular while they cried out, whistled, cheered and clapped to hear more.
This kids were fantastic and they give us lovers of music hope. Keep on rocking kids.
