I still don't understand what is with us around here and never building basketball courts in any of our parks. The Portland Metro loves it, yet they just don't ever end up building basketball courts. It is very frustrating for me. All they ever do is build those "multi-purpose fields" and tennis courts for pickleball. The more mixed use higher density development that happens in the downtowns and along the main drags throughout the Metro area the better. The more that happens, the more we can stop sprawl and the constant expansion of the UGB.
