im not saying you spend too much on fixing it..
just letting you know i did bought a vento 2012 model 2years back and im a car enthusiast so ill give you a fair number of price off all the things
you did it from vw as usual company will itself have there margin on it.. but ill give you a price of same parts and yeah they are original..
suspension wise if your coil spring is right..
1.per shock will cost you 2000 to 2200 and mount kit again original will be around 450 to 600 original..
2. timing kit in whole itself original will be around 13 to 14 geand which includes 2 bearing in it and a timing tensioner..
3. water pump around 4 to 5..
4. clutch set whole 9 to 10..
5. suspension lower arm 7 grand for set of 2..
6. steering rack or assembly as said is around 7 to 9 grand..
7. if your tie rod ends are gone they will be around 6 grand.. this completes you suspension..
over all.. nothing left all new..

Umm, Timing Kit was Costing About 10K Including Labour...
Rest Certainly A Good Deal; Like I Said Motofyx was Offering The Suspension Overhaul Under 25K; But Again as I Said; Reason Behind Choosing To Do The Work at VW was a) Warranty & b) Peace of Mind/ Satisfaction Which Again Has No Price :)

You spent a fortune on the suspension which wasn't really needed. If you would have done a bit of research, the after market support for VW Vento and Polo is really good.
What I have done was i went with the OEM shock absorber while other part which required change was the link rod. This thing in VW costs 7000 bucks and lasted only 25000 kms for me. I went after market this time and got the work done in 1200 bucks. Doesn't matter if i have to get it changed again in 25000 kms now.
Also your decision to go only for the timing belt and not the whole kit was wise.
These VW guys just want to drain your pocket. I have been maintaining my vehicle for the past 5 years without the need for VW ASC.

However, I Did Two Errors When Buying The Vehicle.
1) Was Blinded With Making A Decision in Haste and 2) I Was Totally Depended on My Friend for Him To Let Me Know of Anything Which He Can Make Out With Experience, Which He Did Not.

I can totally feel you as i have also bought vento tsi from a know friend who is working in olx auto dealership. Its been 1 year and i have spent more than 1.5 lakhs+ including the engine got seized. Right now I'm thinking to sell the vehicle though its performing well, however i have learnt a lesson to not buy the used vehicle in future.
