- Hello everyone welcome to my TH-cam Channel, Amber's Awfully Awesome Art! I am a fluid artist from Dallas, Texas and I am excited to share my journey with you all.
Today I will be showing you how I created another dry botanical Dutch pour!!! I was inspired by @RinskeDouna video where she used Amsterdam Acrylic Spray paint to create an Ombre back ground and then she did a Dutch Pour on this background. I “tweaked” it and made it look more like @TinasInspiredArt Botanical Dutch Pour signature style... I used @thislittlepiggy3349 Rave a neon pigment to create some beautiful color contrast! Materials:
18x18 inch gallery wrapped canvas purchased at Jerry's Artarama- Edge brand
Paints used:
For Ombré Background:
Montana Gold- Light Lilac
Montana Gold- Cassis Grosella
For Botanical Dutch Pour
Amsterdam Prussian Blue
Liquitex Titanium White
Winsor & Newton Violet
TLP 🐷 Rave
Amsterdam Gold
Pouring Medium- courtesy @PiecesofTaraArtistry
50% American Floetrol 50% GAC 800
Mix this PM at a 5:1 ratio.
5 parts PM to 1 part paint- mix well!
**NO WATER WAS ADDED**
How to Mix Pigments for this technique
Squirt GAC 100 to wet pigments
Add a scoop of regular gel gloss (any brand)
Mix well and add whatever pouring medium you like.

Is it possible to make Dutch Pours with elmers glue as pouring medium?
I think the Elmer glue will be a little to thick and Elmer’s glue also doesn’t have the binders etc like Golden Color Gloss Pouring Medium or GAC 800.
I do not know how you made the resin not only go where you wanted it but it stayed also. I can not seem to get a good coat of resin on my canvas.
Aww I had trouble in the beginning also with resin especially on canvases… I spray the back with water and let them dry or use a dryer. That stretches them out and resin doesn’t sink in the center. Also resin goes where you want it go so if you have the right amount you can get it to stay. Watch the Art Resin channel they have tons of tips and tricks… Hope this helps!

Hello Amber, New sub here in Wisconsin ! I love this technique❤ Amanda from Crystal Coast Originals does work similar to this too. A bit different with a transparent base coat but again…I LOVE the technique your color palettes !! 🎉❤🎉

I LOVE LOVE LOVE this!!! I live in Rowlett - suburb of Dallas! I have only been pouring for 2-3 months. Really love the Dutch Pour method and blow out effect prob little more than the Bloom - its hard to work with thick paints for me! And I love the movement and style! Your art is gorgeous and I am excited that I found you since you dont live far from me! Any suggestions on learning opportunities locally? Wish I could go to PourCon but just too $$ for me! Please lower the volume of the music. I have to keep upping the volume to hear your voice then keep my finger on the volume to lower it when the music comes on. The outcome is beautiful.

The colors and composition are wonderful --please know this is a major complement: I know people who love bats and study them-- I think thy might look at this and see the most glorious bat they've ever seen!! Marvelous as an abstract bat or just as beautiful Dutch pour like non I've seen. You have developed amazing technique unique to you! I've watched the other artists for years and love them- You've got a style your own. Magnificent!
