Btw, since you are from Italy I was even more happy.. coz I have a close connection to Italy via my friendships and been to Rome, Venice, Milano and Verona twice! I will be in SL for 2 weeks time and then will be moving to another country for couple of years.. So if you happen to be here for 2 more weeks, then you can stay with us... There's an upcoming festival called Vesak (celebration of Buddha's enlightenment) and we'll be doing a Dansal (free food distribution ) and you are welcome to join.. If interested and you are planning to stay I ll share my whatsapp.
Lovely temple. Very serene 🙏🏾This must be said though. Sri Lankan people have to learn to treat their own with the same kindness and smiles as we do our visitors. We have killed half million of our people in the name of religion and ethnicity. They to be taught that it’s always country before god and self. If we did that, we won’t be out in the world with a begging bowl. I hope one day all its people will experience the same serenity that’s felt at the top of that hill. It’s been a tough 4 or 5 years. The people deserve better.

Go to Anuradhapura. It's the oldest Buddhist city in sri lanka. U can see 2500 years old structures. You will feel very different if you go there.
