I've already posted this as part of a response to the reaction but to increase the chance you might see this: Can we get a CeeCee centered video where she talks about what she enjoys and does impress her so we have a baseline of understanding as to what she does find engaging as a professional dancer? I am not saying this should be a 'prove your credentials' bs kind of thing but more a help us understand as viewers where she is coming from so that her measured critical detachment when engaging with mvs is put in proper frame.

If she is disrespecting difficult ass choreography comparing it to a fucking cartwheel acting like that’s harder than what they are doing why wouldn’t anyone be annoyed at her? How is she a dancer and only seems to appreciate her style of dance? Thats pathetic. People can have their opinions but there’s no need for this immense unnecessary attitude and hostility. As if she could do better.
They performed that at real time not half time and sped it up. They’ve performed it live too. There was no camera trickery, other than the cuts.
I thought that was a very biased assumption coming into the video to have. Especially for SM artists where the majority of their dance practice, there isn't music overlay or anything and you can hear their footsteps. Naughty just required cuts but yes, we've seem them do it live. Just strange to me to make that assumption without double checking first, especially as it seems to discredit Irene & Seulgi dancing abilities

I’d like to hear “they could’ve fixed this better by ___” or “her arms needed more movement”. Instead she downplays everything like she’s Madame Dubois from France, world renowned dance instructor. I appreciate that she is critical and doesn't fake her reaction, but does she understand how complex tutting is? Like yes, she may be only looking at them as "dancers" (meaning she doesn't take in consideration that they are first and foremost idols, not dancers which is why this type of choreo is extra impressive) but even so, tutting is very challenging and from any dancers perspective this choreo worth clapping and cheering for. I wish she gave critique of the actual dance instead of downplaying everything without elaborating.
I have also noticed she usually has preassumptions (eg. in this reaction to naughty about how it is filmed) and all of this combined left a bit of a sour taste in my mouth.
I can't change how she reacts to videos but for me her standards seem to be too high. These are idols, not dancers. You can't expect the most complex choreographies in kpop to be expert dancer level, and if you can't enjoy anything less, well... it must be a quite boring world for her (at least when it comes to dance).
Exactly, ngl I'm kinda disappointed hmm it feels like from the start she seems to already set her mind that the dance practice won't satisfy her...yet I wanted to watch it till the end to prove that I'm wrong but yeah to hear that she comment it as cute coming from a dancer without further elaboration is just...disappointing

I just.... I mean, I wish I had known before I started watching this video that she literally just doesn't respect or appreciate tutting as a dance style. Like this is *not* equivalent to doing kick ball change. Anyone who actually understands and appreciates tutting reacts wildly differently to that performance video or MV - even if they had some minor critiques regarding execution, they still praised their skill and would at least be impressed by the choreo. Not even impressed with the innovation of the camera work? I like reactors who are honest, but you can be honest and still say something like - this isn't really my thing, but I can appreciate that they took on an entirely new style of dance to do this and executed it well, I just don't really like it and nothing really stood out to me in particular? Something? Like dancers who don't do tutting or vogueing but have tried it or those who are experienced in it have pretty much universally had good things to say about Naughty or at the bare minimum about the choreography by the incredible Spella. I like honesty but I don't really like people reacting to things that they full on don't respect or have any element to which they have the possibility of appreciating it in some kind of way. That choreo is iconic, tutting IS a dance style that deserves respect and appreciation and not to be belittled because it's "just their arms" which btw, hello to tutting AND footwork at the same time but ok.
The flexed foot is the choreo..... but I do think it's true that female artists tend to have more exposure to lyrical styles than the men do (although this isn't Seulgi). I still feel like it was pulling teeth for you to get her to say... anything... but I have to say I agree it is nice to see the opportunity for BamBam to explore outside of the typical styles he would be doing with his group.

What sucks is that they wanted to show her this but she was not even entertaining it.
Like dang, I guess it’s better to keep on reacting to what her style is if she’s just not going to really react to anything out of the spectrum

Salty.... that's my reaction to her reaction to both performances.... pro dancer hmmmm every pro dancer I've seen there reaction is always the same.... impressed by the hard work and the professionalism and the incredible skillset. This woman carries the demeanor that shes better and not impressed. Sorry hun they are Legendary and I dont know who you are... no disrespect but if I wanted to study dance from someone itd be them and you wouldn't even be remotely on any list.... it's not a disrespect, it's just a factual statement from myself that many many i know would agree with period. You need to have dancers react that actually have experience in that specific style of dance to have a proper opinion and conversation conveyed.
it took them months to learn the full choreo and basic tutting, they even performed it live, the only editing is the cuts for the individual parts like the MV
I’m no dancer, but I know what my joints are capable of. The fact that Seulgi and Irene can create perfect right angles with their bodies in sync with each other at the speed of which they are doing it is mind boggling to me. I realize that won’t impress some people, but I challenge Ceecee who seems so unimpressed to cover the Naughty choreo and see how well she fares. Tutting is so precise and the synchronization has to perfect or it ruins the whole picture. There’s a reason you’ve never seen a full MV that didn’t have tutting choreo throughout before.

I myself am not into reactors that have the same reaction for everything, meaning those overexaggerated "OMG I LOVE I LOVE" every single time. But- it could also go the other way meaning the same boring reaction to every video even if it's completely different concepts and styles. Like why would you show someone that doesn't care for tutting- a whole tutting routine?💀 I could care less about the lack of facial expression bc I myself tend to only talk in my mind while watching videos, but even when it comes to the actual dancing feedback, CeeCee just completely, lacks... It's just baseless opinions and it's hard to tell what she really likes tbh. Like I reaally like Hoshi myself, but why is he the only one that caught her eye? There are dancers she's reacted to just as, if not even more experienced than Hoshi but she just gives nothing💀 I just wish she could give actual practical feedback, and an actual breakdown and be specific in whatever opinions she has. Bc they never make any sense. Idc if you're unimpressed but like at least explain why. And I really don't think anyone's offended here also, it's just that she's not.. giving.
I think I may have to agree, a bit, Like I don't mind negative feedback but sometimes not always CeeCee just doesn't say anything like what she liked or didn't. Better in the second reaction, like it wasn't raving but I liked the discussion aspect more.
I wouldn’t use the words more talented than hoshi just because he caught her eye that’s kind of belittling to him a little bit when he’s done nothing wrong don’t you think? There’s others that she’s reacted to that are just as talented for sure but Hoshi has something that caught her eye setting him aside from the rest for her, I know you probably didn’t mean it that way and I in no one way intend to argue or start an argument but that’s how it came across when I read it just a tad diminishing to Hoshi’s talents.

I also agree with others if that is your take can we get some critical deconstruction of why? You have a strong expert in your corner and it would be great if they used that educated and elevated position like a good teacher to speak to why they have formed those professional opinions. I would LOVE to see her try this in REAL time like RV does. I’ve seen 4 videos of this bitter woman and I’ve disliked ALL of them. It says ‘Contemporary dancer reacts’ but it should say ‘Complete Hater reacts.’ This acts like she’s better when all these K-pop artists could dance OCTAGONS around her.

I’m a listener of Red Velvet, as I do like some of their songs and performances. And I appreciate this raw reaction, but I do think the girl on the right needs to adjust her criticism. I get it, she’s a dancer. But these “Kpop idols” are just idols. They depend more on music and performance than complex choreographies. They aren’t actual dancers, they are made-performers that train for years to debut. Tutting is actually very complex and not “cute” overall, and I wish she understood that and not expect a high knee kick or a back flip lol. Although I do respect her for her opinion, I just wish she saw them more as idols than professional dancers that need to have hard choreography. As a dancer myself, I appreciate the time and effort into what goes in a choreo that’s performed, as well as execution and skills. Exaggerated and high energy choreo isn’t always the best choreography :). Appreciate the video though !
Also the thing is Seulgi is a dancer also idk I was a dancer for 18 years and I don't want to ever do tutting and don't find it super appealing. But I can also appreciate and understand the level of difficulty.
I love all of her honesty towards her reactions, but girl Imma bout to throw a hands for reacting like tutting was just that easy and I don't like that.
And lastly, I want to see her dance it. She is "professional"!? K.

Yeah I keep hearing people say well there not dancers there idols….. wait you guys do realize Suelgi is a professionally trained dancer with 20 years experience… shes considered one of the top dancers in K-pop if not the best… her singing is beyond good and that’s second to her dancing. I honestly was disappointed with the reaction and really can’t emphasize enough that when you’re going to react do your homework… know what your talking about… it’s very professional when you do. Your video looks that much more incredible.
What are you talking about that Seulgi doesn't get to sing a lot she usually has the most line distribution in their songs and the adlibs with Wendy and she does a lot of collabs with other artists and a lot of people love Seulgi's voice that's one of the reasons she made it into Got Girls on top she is like the Mark of Nct in Red velvet
I meant I’d love more solo opportunities for her to really showcase her singing in the same way her dancing is spoken about/showcased.

First of all, my opinion is just based off of this reaction. Please don't take anything too personal, I don't know Ceecee personally. The following is just my opinion.
The problem is not being honest, it's the attitude. And I'm not talking about "go off, girl" attitude, I'm talking about "mean girl". You can not like something and still be respectful. It was actually very uncomfortable watching this reaction, that's why I stopped like 1/4 through.
And I don't know how your relationship is, but to me as an outsider her attitude towards you from 2:09 on is not ok. She cannot agree with you, but still respect your opinion, without mocking it. I bet it's not that deep, but I personally wouldn't do this even with my closest friends. There's a difference between being disrespectful and teasing.
And yes, everyone has their own personality or attitude, but if it's harmful towards others you might think about changing something. Never liked the "I'm the way that I am" sentiment. Not every trait is a good trait.
As I said, everything is just based off of this one reaction.
*edit: I just looked up two other reactions with Ceecee and they're fine. This one here must be an one time thing. I still stand with my opinion though.

Honestly I came here because of BamBam, but I just wanna point out that tutting is very hard dance and even tho I don't stan red velvet Irene and Seulgi did amazing. I have seen many tutting dancers since before and they are near good as professional tutting dancers, I can't imagine how hard they must have trained too. And yes I'm also really happy that BamBam can show more of his dancing and singing too since he never was given the opportunities to do so. Very underappreciated dancer if you ask me even when he is in got7 I feel not many appreciate his dancing. Btw the girl in who are you dance is not Seulgi, she is only in the MV. There's dance that only involves hands/arms, only feet/legs, only the midsection and so on... I'm not a dancer and even I know dancing doesn't just involve acrobatics 🙃 just because you only do one form of dance doesn't mean you can't appreciate dance in other forms. It might do her some good actually expanding her knowledge in the various forms of dance 👍🏽

Seulgi is the lead vocal of Red Velvet. Her voice is oftentimes THE MOST prominent one on their tracks because she has such a unique tone and she’s never starved for lines. How is she underrated or under utilized? They even put her and her voice in a sub unit.
Yes, I’m a Reveluv. No, I’m not poppin off on some weird “K-pop fans go mad for their faves” aggressive bs. I’m genuinely curious what gives the impression Seulgi’s voice/vocals are underrated and she’s not utilized much! That’s…not what it sounds like through their discography, her solos, and the features she’s done!
Honestly, with how many kpop themed videos they've filmed, they're still so uniformed about the artists, their background and the music they release. Like, it's really not that difficult to Google things beforehand.

I like this format of you both reacting together. Glad you reacted to Bam's Who Are You performance. The review was honest as promised. This was his first time doing this type of dance and you can tell he isn't an expert but the concept and execution were interesting. I like how you pointed out you can see Bam "thinking" the choreography. Bam is a great dancer but I agree that sometimes he is too emotionally detached when he's dancing. He has clean lines and is technically good, especially at the more trendy dance moves but he didn't stand out to me until he went solo. Although Bam and Yugyeom are the most versatile dancers in the group. IMO, Jay B stands out more because even though he might not be the best dancer technically when he performs he really sells it when it comes to emoting the song, sometimes he is too into it😁. For that reason, he tends to stand out when it comes to performance.
BTW, Got7 also has Jus2 subunit too which is Jay B and Yugyeom. Would love to see a reaction to their Focus On Me stage or dance practice. I love how detailed it is but still shows how Jayb/Yugeyom contrast. Also, Yugyeom Franchise dance visual would be interesting to look at because it was the first time he got to showcase his dance style as a soloist after leaving JYP. That company really just be wasting talent for no reason...

I had a little grin. She mentioned speed ups, and yes, in some MVs there are speed ups. I have a lot of experience with cameras (not dancing, but I've done martial arts, so I have a background in body movement in general). I did not see speed ups. At most they might have done some 1.5x, which is hard to tell, but mainly if speedups are done, they are done at 2x because that is easier overall. But this video did use quite a bit of "other editing". I have seen Irene and Seulgi perform Naughty live on a TV clip, and yes, they really are that precise. As for full body v. focused styles, well, I'm a bit the opposite. I really like Fred Astaire's tap work. Then again, I see him as a combination musician / dancer. Without the taps you are only watching half his show. And about tutting, and "contorting". Actually, I tried to copy a routine one time and found that there was a a position that would cause my shoulders to dislocate. So, "contorting"? Actually, it can be. . . .
You won't really know how difficult tutting is until you try it.

I think it would be awesome if you could find a friend who has a personality that comes off as, “bitter with people who actually made it/jaded/bored/above it all” to do reaction videos with. Just a thought.

We are not professional dancers most of all So we can't relate with your "this dont impress me" attitude , cuz we dont jugde if the feet were on point or not but how different to all choreos we have seen on Kpop.. anyway as usuall everyone have their own opinion just was kind of salty see the this reaction, ty both either way.
I think that is what got me upset the most was the "cute" comment. It seemed very belittling to the hard work they put into it with the only comment you have is "cute". As a dancer I wouldve enjoyed an actual reaction. And it is possible to focus on the actual dancers even if it is not your dance style.

Although Bambam isn't dancing machine, but I love his versatility and his balance. His body is not that flexible but he has detail. If he practice more and focus more in dancing, I get why Lia Kim mentioned that Bambam is a genius dancer.

I appreciate Ceecee keeping it real. It appears to me that she perhaps wasn't clued into the background details (which is fine and ultimately not needed for a reaction) that I&S did for Naughty so I understand why she has presumptions on how the video was shot, etc.
If she values/engages more with full body movement type of dancing then maybe 2PM is an option. They're marketed as athletic idols from debut.
Or even some of Shinees harder choreo like Sherlock/Everybody/Dream Girl.

She 100% is allowed to have her opinion and I completely respect if she doesn't like something as its subjective to the person, however, she looked uninterested at all and as a channel that attracts viewers that like analyses from these 'PROFESSIONAL DANCERS', more people would've preferred to see less of the disregard and ignorance, and more of the constructive critique she had every right to give, wrap it up.

I do like some of her reactions video's and agree with her on some of kpop. Not every single thing from kpop I like too. So people just need to stop bashing her. I just want to see her dance, then maybe we will understand why she react this way.These days people are so obsessed with kpop and if you speak your mind about their so-called favorite group.They will try to hunt you down, we need to stop obsessing over these group's. For me it just fun to watch will never sent a hate comment over kpop period. I have seen hate comment go to the extreme especially over BTS and LISA. Just because someone said BTS is overrated and LISA is not the best dancing or can't dance.I hope Cecce is fine because I saw someone comment because of her reactions video's some fans didn't like it. And I guess was bullying her, for this reason she will not do reaction videos anymore.

I don't get why people are upset????? She didn't say anything bad about the choreo, she doesn't like tutting so the fact that she complimented them on it is fine. Yes she didn't give critisism like we wanted but maybe she didn't really have any for this particular dance because she's not into it so how would she know what the moves are exactly supposd to look like???? And she did give a little something on the BamBam performance but she still didn't say or do anything rude the entire video but people still find some way to be upset??? What's going on?

I can see how some people are miffed at her dis-interest in tutting, it makes sense that she does not care for the style. contemporary dance (to me) is a very emotional style of dance. the way a dancer will interpret a movement to tell a story is essential. tutting on the other hand is the opposite as its pretty much set in stone exactly how its supposed to go. it makes sense a contemporary dance lover isn't as impressed with what essentially is well timed arm movements. while i'm sad she doesn't connect with the dance the way i did (i loovvee the dance and S&I killed it) i don't think she disrespected it. she never said it was bad it just wasn't for her.
Also she is right and there are sections of this dance practice that is edited. i feel like the second pre chorus is sped up the along with the solo camera parts which can affect her impression since it can put in you mind "what is real and what isn't" (i know they have done live on shows but she is speaking on what she is looking at) IDK what is with these kpop companies and not just showing their idols talents (from never singing live to the edited dance practices)
Then don’t have a person like that react to litteral tutting choreography. Its that simple.

Unfortunately, seeing someone who isn't open-minded from the start makes me not want to watch their reactions. This is a newer technique to me. I want to learn. I don't usually care if the reaction is negative, but without an open mind, reactions seem pointless... when I watch reaction videos about choreography I want to hear reactions to fuel my love for dance. I'm not looking for negativity.
I understand preferences for dance styles, but dancers should be able to respect and appreciate different art forms and styles of dance. It's fine if it isn't your style, but at least respect the work that goes into choreographing and executing these dances

춤은 제대로 된 연습도 없이 혼자 영상보며
익히고 당일 리허설에서 한 번 맞춰보고 춘거였음..
그런 능력자들이 한국 아이돌들임..
그냥 춤만 추는 게 아니라 음악을 느끼며 그 안의
메시지도 표현하며 관객들과 눈을 맞추며
그 무대를 장악해 투자자들로 하여금 투자도
이끌어내는 비즈니스 맨들이기도 함..
한 마디로 한국의 아이돌들은 개인 하나하나가
만능 엔터테이너로 걸어다니는 기업임..
그냥 춤만 추는 게 아니라 노래도 함..
