An absolutely exquisite performance. The cellist was simply amazing with perfect intonation and sublime restraint. These free concerts by the Frankfurt SO and its star players are like a gift from God, and have enriched my life tremendously. I am truly blessed and eternally grateful.

Wunderschöne und lyrische Aufführung dieses romantischen und perfekt komponierten Konzerts mit mildem und gut phrasiertem Ton des genialen Solocellos sowie gut harmonisierten und perfekt vereinigten Tönen anderer Instrumente. Der zweite Satz klingt besonders schön und echt lyrisch. Die geniale Dirigentin leitet das kompakte und ausgezeichnete Orchester im fließenden doch lebhaften Tempo und mit perfekt kontrollierter Dynamik. Einfach wunderbar!
Fabelhaft! Auch klanglich (über AKG K702- Kopfhörer am PC mit Fiio-Olympus Kopfh.-Verstärker). Für dieses Konzert wurde auch die adäquate ( die "deutsche" nach dem Vorbild der Mendelssohn/Schumann-Ära im Gewandhaus Leipzig) Musiker-Sitzordnung gewählt. Herzlichen Dank, mein Dienstag ist gerettet.

At first I was wondering why everyone was spaced so far apart, until I realized this was filmed in pandemic times, assuming it was filmed prior. I'm happy to see music is still being made in other parts of the world. Concerts and rehearsals in my area have been postponed until further notice. I almost like this socially distanced set up. As a violinist, I have been in uncomfortably tight rehearsal spaces / concert halls, where I am paranoid I will get wacked by somebody's bow. The only downside I could see to this set up would be every player having to turn their own pages.
I do not know one female conducter with a better stick technique, great. If you have a look to Birmingham, .... this is more dancing, than conducting. Ruth was at the Gatti masterclass in Amsterdam (I think so, but not be sure), she was already at this time very secure.
The hr Symphony managed to become my favorite german orchestra in only a few months.

舒曼最有名,最好聽的協奏曲是鋼琴協奏曲,這首大提琴協奏曲則很少看到,不過,其中可聽出其他作曲家的特徵,如布拉姆斯,貝多芬,孟德爾頌等,難道舒曼故意把每個作曲家的音樂串連起來嗎😅? 原以為本曲只有一個樂章,但一看介紹才知有三個樂章 ! 以致後面都聽不太懂曲意,不知三個樂章連在一起的用意何在？也尚不知如何分段？故尚需多加研究以瞭解其曲意,也許這是舒曼設計的難題也說不定!？但據說舒曼家族患有遺傳性的精神疾病,晚年即受到這種疾病的影響,不知有無影響其創作...？
