  • Today, we've ventured into the far east of Russia, to the city of Vladivostok, to explore just how happy ordinary Russians are! "Are you happy? Survey in Russia" is our video, where we engage with locals to understand what brings them happiness.
During the survey, we posed some crucial questions: Do Russians feel happy? What aspects of their everyday lives contribute to their happiness? How do they perceive the rising prices of goods and stagnant wages? What are the sentiments among pensioners regarding modest pensions and do they impact their joy in life?
We didn't shy away from addressing current events. How does the ongoing war with Ukraine affect Russians' overall happiness? We also delved into whether it's true that foreigners perceive Russians as somber individuals.
Don't forget to subscribe, hit the like button, and share the video with your friends to join the discussion on what truly makes us happy in the modern world. Watch, share your thoughts in the comments, and stay tuned for more exciting adventures!

The most important thing is that you and your loved ones are happy and healthy.
      Everything else is subjective.

At 2:47, the woman said that grandmothers with small pensions should be more frugal. Not much empathy on her part.

GG being frugal when you get 200 dollar per month and a kilo of apples cost 1,5 dollar.

It is true, that the alc consumption per capita, at least pre-war, was lower in Russia than for example France or Germany. However, if you look at alcohol related deaths, Belraus, Mongolia and Russia are top 3.

Check the updated data on that, from last week I believe. They are back with a bang at the top spot, more than in 2022

Guy who earns 160k of course won't tell what he does for living but I am almost sure he joined corruption circle of ruling party.

    • @volga71

160 thousand is not a very big salary for Russia.
These are either the lowest level boss or very highly qualified workers.
Therefore, this is hardly the salary of a corrupt official.

@@volga71have you any idea how low are avarage or minimal salary in russia? Check oficial russian statistics...

    • @volga71
      @volga71 7 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      @@michachodkowski8499Yes I know.
      71 thousand rubles.
But I don’t think that a person with a salary of 160 thousand is an influential corrupt official.
If you know about Russian salaries, then you probably know that they are different in different regions.
Somewhere 50 thousand is considered a good salary, and somewhere 100 thousand is considered small.

@@volga71 As in every country... But thats official data which could be (and probably are) incorrect in +... Interesting that minimal salary in russia is 16k rubels... About 160$ - lower then in some african countries

@@volga71 He doesn't have to be official. Probably he is party member and got some connection hence they find him a nice paying job. That's how you get big salary in countries like Russia. If he had a normal profession he would tell that anyways.

0.42: the woman who becomes happy only if Zelenskyy is torn to pieces... for Russians, other people's pain is more important than their own happiness . Now I'm happy I'm not Russian.

"...Always awaiting some sort of trick.."
I think that prescribes the main issues i see in russia nowadays. Paranoia and anxiousness, easily projected onto the western black sheeps to cope with a sad existence.

Before central heating broke down I guess. Asking those who has been without heating for days or those who got burnt from heated water would perhaps answer differently. Or they would answer they are happy as others don't have it better.

"Eating too much is bad for you", she said, so I guess this is a measuring stick for happiness in Russia, when you can no longer afford it ?, just like "fresh air" outdoor toilets is great, because they do not have it in the West, so Russia must be doing better.

Denmark here btw, so long live the King who has no political power. If you do not have a King but a President, besides the Prime Minister that every country have, then have you then asked yourself how much it cost to have a President instead of a King ? and if a President really is as popular and good at uniting people as a King would be ? and what is the value of a President really for the perception and branding of a country abroad ?
Of the Nordic countries, Finland do not have a king but a President, and the main budget for Finland’s Presidency, which covers expenses for meetings and human resources as well as presidency organization costs, is somewhere between 55 million and 70 million euros, which do not include the election cost every 4 years. So vastly more than the 15 million Euros Denmark spend on the whole Royal Family.
I have looked it up, and it cost more than $30 million annually in each of the last two fiscal years to protect Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau and his family, and this is only for his protection and not whatever else he earn or spend on traveling and eating fine dinners on behalf of the tax payers.

A friend moved from Russia to America years ago. He said that the most striking difference is that Americans actually have empathy. By and large, old Soviets seem to be devoid of empathy. I tend to think saying "I'm not interested in politics" is just a way of saying "I'm doing fine. To hell with everyone else." Perhaps empathy is a convenience of prosperity.
