Don’t beat yourself up. Who ain’t got a f*ing problem.?Girls have it too. I believe it is stress. Guilt and shame feedback loop. God loves you no matter what🙌 . There are so many distractions in this life and being a addict is a constant mind game. The struggle is real!! ♥️ you brother!! All is forgiven. Respect ✊
Prototype 176708 I know, I need to forgive myself and move on. Just need to learn from this and aware of my complete weakness. This life is very hard and we have so many distractions Especially in the west.
It’s the exact same cycle of guilt and shame and it rewards the brain with dopamine (or oxytocin, I forget), as well as a lot of visual stimuli. And it’s also a form of escape. I’m sure everyone here is more knowledgeable than I am, as I must know the basics. But nicole in real talk Recovery on YT was talking today about how if we aren’t struggling with one thing, it can be eating disorders, hoarding, shopping addiction, etc. There is a void inside of us, is the way that she worded it, I believe. But I’ve had some of these pop up for me. Even eating sugar-it’s crazy, diet cokes for years when I was young, fast food. I can’t do anything half way. Beating food addiction, we used the 12 steps as well. Best of luck.
I'd much rather listen to someone like you that can man up and be honest than anyone else! Porn is a major problem with me as well. I've obviously got a lotta time on my hands right now, and like you said it's so easily accessible. Just gained even more respect for you if that's possible! You gotta be the realest person I've ever known! PRAYING FOR YA & LOVE YOU BROTHER!!! STRAIGHT 💯 ALL THE WAY MAN!!
Charlie Elrod -Dang that means a lot Charlie! Thanks for making me feel better my friend. Porn is a huge battle for so many of us and its a big one for me obviously. Always has, and I need to take it even more seriously. Man I appreciate the stuff u said. I was afraid to make this video today. But more afraid of lying or acting like it never happened. Once I had accepted that I had sinned and I had to confess there was some weight lifted off. Not all! But some for sure.
@@gabemccall3523 The fact that it made you feel the way it did is all that needs to be said! I remember when we were talking on the phone that night about conviction of our sins. That can really suck, but that's when you know you are doing something right! Like you said then, if it didn't bother you, that's when you're in trouble. Don't be too hard on yourself man! SO MUCH RESPECT FOR YA BROTHER!!
Paul struggled with sin.(Romans 7:21-8:3) The famous preacher JV McGee said when this desire hits, you can will the Holy Spirit to put the sin behind you. You can’t will the flesh to do this. Paul realized that in chapter 8. My personal sin is lustfull thoughts of adultery. I confess it daily. You’re a man of FAITH! Your sin breaks your heart. Christ is walking with you thru this. The accuser, the devil, is a liar!
Bruce Jones -Thank you very much Bruce. It’s funny... I read the book of Romans last night and then I just watched a sermon this morning and it happened to be on that very issue. J Vernon is awesome by the way! Thanks again for your encouragement.
Dude Don’t be so hard on yourself. Coming off of opiates are sex drive comes back with a vengeance trust me I feel like I’m 18 years old again right now it’s normal brother
Robert Worton -Thanks brother, appreciate your encouragement. These are the reality’s of getting off opiates for sure. Makes it a bit harder than it already is.
People try to argue that p*rn and s3x addiction don’t exist and this infuriates me. Drs have said again and again it does. Out of respect, I’m not watching the video since I did see the comments first. This is obviously geared toward guys and is personal. But I just want to say I’ll be praying for you. Women sometimes struggle too. And that makes it an issue, as there is another level about respect and the way that women are often used and manipulated in the adult industry, especially very young girls. It’s heart breaking. The really sad thing is that they are seeing cases of ED in young men who grew up only in the age of p*rn & sexual imagery. Young men who can’t enjoy their wife without having that Visual stimulation. It’s heart breaking. I did find a channel I like Layla Martin who discusses tantric breathing (I may be off on the name). It’s hit or miss, and I would recommend perhaps having your wife look into it & share the info with you. It’s all about reconnecting with one another on an emotional and physical level. Best of luck to you and her both! Keep your head up! We all have rough days!
Hearts Love - yeah I grew up with P*** at a young age. 4 to be exact and it’s taken years of God working on me to get me where I am now and to get a sex drive back for me wife and her alone. It’s a terrible thing to be exposed to that stuff at such a young age. Thanks for the encouragement. God bless.
