This helped a lot thank you! I also found I needed to add some conditions to my trigger actions to get it to work as well. I just set it to include all host groups and it finally came through.

I have programmed zabbix to send emails (I am monitoring 52 devices switches and servers) and when any problem arises zabbix takes almost 3 minutes to send an email as well as show on the screen. Any ideas how can I get alerts and see the problem on the dashboard quicker? i would really appreciate your help.

In the "Trigger Actions" page, I have created "actions" for the corresponding chatbots, and there are conditions for "actions" to specify the scope of reporting to the specified channel, but the alarm is invalid and will not be sent. Please tell me how to fix it. thank.
@@sbcode but then that would limit the type of severities I can use. And that would only work if I use it for maybe 3 different channels max. Looking for something that can be used on a server monitoring 500+ hosts
in the slack media type, in the script config, you could pass in a macro value and use that in place of where it gets the channel id. This is highly advanced though, and I wont be helping you to do this for free. This is your problem to solve.
I did a normal apt install of zabbix 5.x, your video has been amazing setting up the slack media, but Im stuck when testing the slack media.. Getting a "Slack notification failed : Error: missing cURL library". Any idea how to fix please?
I don't have your problem. I use the official download instructions from Zabbix. I've used various versions of centos, ubuntu and rpi, and i've never had your problem. I don't you think you have given me all the details about your custom install, and how you really honestly set it up. I think you should ask exactly the same question, as you worded it to me, on the official Zabbix forums.
Hey Great video . I followed all the steps but i am getting this error "Slack notification failed : invalid_auth" , although its sending problem alert notification its not sending problem recovery notification. Can you please help.
Seems there is a bug in 5.2 slack media script. I think it might be caused by changes with the slack api. I was able to get around this by removing the permalink stuff from the script and its now working.

Is there a way to have it send different triggers to different channels, if so how would you go about doing it
assign different severity to trigger. then configure multiple slack medias and channels in admin->users->[account]->media

Does this work for local testing, means if I don't have public ip for zabbix server?
It should work if your server can call the slack api

@@sbcode Yea, I used the official one also. Maybe it was the ubuntu 18 .. Anyways I switched back to zabbix 4.4 and its working now,
Don't know, i used a brand new Ubuntu20.04 with Zabbix5.01 in this video.

This video was created with zabbix5. I am now using 5.2, I use the same setup I did in the video, and it works for me.
