    A couple things:
    1. The guitar solo on Beat It actually IS talked about a lot, and is really famous. It's by Eddie Van Halen.
    2. The main reason track 2 and track 9 have the lowest number of plays is because those were the only two songs on the album that were not released as singles. It's not because they are worse songs (at least not IMO, lol).
    3. One more point on track 9, Lady In My Life: That's the baby making song on this album. lol

This is the best album period. It changed music, short film, and the fashion industry. This was the first and probably only album where an artist had multiple styles like Pop, rock, RnB, and a little disco MJ is the only artist I know can switch to many genres of music and do it successfully. He’s simple to the greatest of all time.

Agree with "It changed music, short film, and the fashion industry." 100% & very few artists have that kind of power. "MJ is the only artist I know can switch to many genres of music and do it successfully." Freddie Mercury did it. And...Please allow me to introduce you to 'Linda Ronstadt' an American singer whom most of the younger generations don't know & are unaware of.
She had 'multiple' #1 albums in, Rock, Country, R&B, Big Band, & light Opera. Damn!! & She also had #1 Albums in France (in French) & in Mexico (in Spanish). She belongs listed with the greats & should not be forgotten. Start your journey with "When Something is Wrong With My Baby" sung with Aaron Neville. & Prepare to have your mind blown.

The Jackson 5 hit the charts with "I Want You Back" in 1969, Michael Jackson's 1st solo hit "Got to Be There" 1971 He was 13. Michael Jackson's singing & dancing has dominated music from age 11 until the day of his death in 2009 age 50 & he was still packing stadiums w/screaming fans, it never ended, didn't even slow down. Was in the Spike Lee docu about Off The Wall: th-cam.com/video/QXOn3N_Xn_I/w-d-xo.html. I don't want to offend The Weekend or his fans, listen to him myself on a regular basis, but MJ is simply something else in every way, arguably the best performer that has ever lived. Check out his Wembley concert from the Bad tour if you need any proof. Also: MJ is lower on streams because most of his fans have bought and still buy physical media (vinyl, cd's, et cetera). Still the highest earning dead artist to this day. That, plus there is Thriller 25, Thriller 40, et cetera on Spotify, each with the same songs and 'their own' streaming amounts. You have to put those numbers together for more exact streaming numbers. Then again: appreciated your review, great to see how younger generations are still in awe of this masterpiece. Off The Wall is, arguably, even better.

On another note, everyone talks about the guitar solo in Beat It! It was performed by Eddie Van Halen, one of the best (if not the best) guitarists in history, who revolutionized electric guitar playing with his techniques. He recorded the solo in 1 take (or rather 2, because the first take blew out the studio gear), requested not to be credited for it and only requested 1 pack of beers in exchange. It's one of the most legendaries guitar solos in music history, and is widely talked about.

Loved it ❤ One information about "Beat It" and that solo: Considering the game-changing impact the song had on popular culture, Eddie Van Halen says in 2011 that "Beat It" is his favorite collaboration. Eddie Van Halen blazing guitar solo lasted all of 20 seconds and took half an hour to record. He did it for free, as a favor to producer Quincy Jones, while the rest of his Van Halen bandmates were out of town. "I said to myself, 'Who is going to know that I played on this kid's record, right? Nobody's going to find out'. Wrong!" he laughs. "Big-time wrong. It ended up being Record of the Year." Eddie Van Halen concluded Michael was a musical genius with this childlike innocence. "He was such a professional, and such a sweetheart." 💕

@@YourLocalMelomaniac Little bit of advice: start with Off The Wall or even Destiny by the Jacksons. That's where Michael started to develop as the artist he eventuelly turned out to be. I love HIStory big time (there's even a feature by Biggie on it), might be my favorite album also, but if you're relatively new to MJ, start with his earlier material to understand him more for the soul and R&B singer he always was and to see how he developed into the most all round artist the world has ever seen.

It’s interesting that you love the weeknd and haven’t listened to an MJ record before!! I feel like the weeknd definitely got some inspiration from mike… MJ is one of my favorite artists of all time even though he passed away when I was 8. It always fun to see people discover his music besides the classic hits :)

You mentioned how crisp Thriller sounds, it basically set recording standards for popular music since. He had his sound engineer 100 times to get it right. There's a whole Bruce Swedein documentary about the process called Sonic Fantasy.

Please do the other Michael Jackson Albums. "Bad" 1987, "Off the Wall" 1979 etc. Also, Michael Jackson and the Jackson Fives (Never Can Say Goodbye song 1971). Talk about Michael Jackson bringing passion to his music. It was always there, even as he was a young kid.

Its funny to me how you didnt expect Paul to sing on The Girl Is Mine cuz I also had the same reaction when I heard Say Say Say. Even being fairly familiar with both artists I had never heard MJ sing with Paul McCartney in such a direct manner. Between artists like that the collaboration is usually limited to something subtle like a light chorus or something. So it was so unexpected hearing them sing their own full sections in the same song. I never would’ve guessed they made music together.

Hey man. I’m a big MJ fan. I discovered your channel thanks to this video and it makes me happy that his music still touches and can be discovered by new generations. I would obviously recommend you listening and reacting to all of his albums. Funny enough, he only ever made 7, so sadly not that many.
As a lyricist, his best and most personal one would be HIStory. That dropped after all the scandals and he expressed all of his emotions and conflicts on that particular album.
Maybe once you done them all, you could watch and review the documentary movie ‘This is it’ that captures his last rehearsals for a comback tour that never was. His attention to details and passion for music are beyond any other pop artist of his or any generation.
Keep the good work! A fan and supporter from Spain.
