  • ISRO has Successfully Tested 3d Printed Budget Rocket Engine. Yes ,recently PSLV stage 4 liquid rocket engine has been redesigned by ISRO's LPSC Additive Manufacturing method and created with Laser Powder Bed Fusion Technology with help of Wipro 3d Company. This technology helps rocket engine to use less material then older traditional method. The Laser Powder Bed Fusion technique used in the manufacturing process reduced the number of engine components from 14 to a single piece, eliminating 19 weld joints," ISRO stated. This streamlined design not only significantly reduced raw material usage per engine from 565kg to a mere 13.7 kg of metal powder but also cut overall production time by 60%.ISRO has also successfully done 665-second hot test. Also with this tech ISRO aims to reduce the cost of making PSLV rocket from 240 crores to only 48 crore rupees.

Kya aap bata sakte ho ki 1 engine se pure rocket ka cost kese kam ho gaya.
Ye 4th stage ka engine hai na jiska Thrust 7 se 10 kN hota hai or baki ke 3 engine ka kya.

The total cost will be reduce after ISRO will use 3d print tech for all the parts of the rocket ,just like Space x falcon 9 ,which isro has officially said. i hope the smart one understands.

Solid moters ko kese 3D manufacture karege jo 1st stage ka rocket hai.
