None of the couples were ready for that commitment. Social Services would not have allowed her to live with any of them because they would not be considered a stable family.

OMG!!! I found it !!! I heard this song when the show aired.... I bought it on Itunes from my Itouch that night.... Both my mom and I have been confused because we were unable to remember where we heard it !!!! loool. THANK YOU FOR posting this!
This is the perfect display of selfishness in humans. Act all sincere on the outside and then when someone actually needs help (Like Dell ) they going running away!
They were all Dell’s friends and what they did was lowdown. I felt like Pete basically shut Violet down on taking care of Betsey, because he was still afraid of her going crazy (despite her saying she’s got help). You can understand Amelia as she was too young and didn’t know Betsey; Charlotte and Cooper were getting married and looking for a house, so they weren’t really financially stable (though I thought Cooper would have more sympathy as he was adopted, then the next day he wants to talk about kids). The people who I thought should’ve taken Betsey honestly could’ve been Addison (no offense, but she played house with Lucas, what’s wrong with Betsey) or Sam (even he knew the Bennett’s were a little obligated and indebted to Dell’s family). They could’ve watched her until Naomi got back as she bonded with her the most, but everyone was too committed to their relationships…
the one who pressed the dislike button couldn't find the right button because he/she had too much tears in his/her eyes...this is one of the most emotional scene on private practice...
This is the moment i gave up on this show. Dell was the very best of all of them and would do anything for any of them or their kids without even being asked. Everyone left in this building are horrible selfish people!
Betsy wanted to stay with Violet but Pete didn't want her what the f*** is this kid going to be parent list for the rest of your life now is not going to be because guess what Naomi daughter and she's good Naomi's with fife so she will have a mother and a father
This is my favourite scene of the show. It is just so powerful.
The song is a perfect choice for this scene! I love it ♥
they were all dels friends and not one of them would take his daughter in this just broke my heart

@@sadem1045 except for maybe Violet and Pete… But I forgot why they didn’t adopt her. So idk. I guess what you said would be true.

At that moment, I wanted to go into the TV and say, "But I want to take care of Betsey!"

But why couldn't violet take betsy????
Because Pete didn't think it was good idea. They already had Lucas, and their marriage was on shakey ground.
