alot of these guys escaped the ring, when cortana says 'its only us' she means that they where the only survivors that *attacked* the pillar of autumn, so marines on the silent cartographer etc likely got pulled off world after the odst incident and the order that the POA was going to be destroyed
This mod really surprised me, unlike others that are responsible for adding weapons, enemies, mechanics and so on, this one is only responsible for modifying the maps, level development and adding scripts (something I love). I always thought that Halo CE lacked scripts and animations. The dialogues still impressed me, some are imported from other games but some dialogues that do not appear in the game are compatible with the subtitle system, I suppose they are unused audio that I did not know about.
So many amazing mods this year with all of ruby’s rebalanced updates, halo 2 and ce uncut, I think havoc and better with friends seem like the most fun standalone mods put out this year. The attention to detail is chefs kiss
@@warheart1337 If only you could add dialogue, some scenes would look vastly more interesting. Like when the chief had a look at the mechanic and his buddy? How funny would it be if they were just talking like a bunch of normal guys? The mechanic is pissy cause he ain't getting respect, while his buddy is just there cause he ain't got nothing to do. So he's just gonna agree with whatever he's gonna say. Then they talk sports or whatever kind of thing like that and bam, that's when it hits you that he was watching the football game and the match turned sour cause the covenant fried all the players in the field. Including his favorite quarterback. Obviously his friend is gonna be upset cause he had money in that game and now knows that he's not gonna see it. I honestly think that there's a lot here that could definitely be added to make the whole Halo CE Better with Friends Mod even better. Including making the marines characters in their own right, not just cannon fodder. I've had it in the back of my mind for years but never had any way to put it down.
