Honestly one of the coolest cases I have ever seen
yep this line is TOP 3 for me too
Some of the cases from the mid 2000's had such high quality materials it was crazy. My old Silverstone TJ series cases have 5-6 mil aluminum panels. Also an old Cooler master case that has a front door that is a half inch thick. Although they were very pricey at the time.
Honestly one of the cases i have ever seen
Just joking, this case is cool
Only zalman to rock a case like in 2008. Good looking and way ahead of her time.
Man, I'm so nostalgic for everything Zalman, as one of the only Korean PC-parts manufacturer that made stuff that I like - like pure copper coolers and GPU fanless heatsinks AND also exported to Canada where I grew up in - it was basically the only "Made in Korea" parts I could get for my PC that weren't invisible like Samsung/Hynix RAM.
I thought they were going to disappear when they got tied up with Moneul, a former Korean HTPC case maker who only pretended to manufacture cases only to defraud investors, Zalman was partially owned by the Moneul owner and they were responsible for manufacturing a few Moneul prototypes that were essentially vaporware.
Thankfully, they've finally got legal separation from Moneul's bankruptcy proceedings a while ago and they're making parts again.
tldr: if you've ever wondered why there were so many photos of cool looking Moneul cases, but were almost impossible to find - this is why, it was a investor defrauding scheme all along - and Zalman is at least partially responsble for it.
I'm so glad you've been able to give beautiful pieces of history like this a new life. Please, keep producing content!!!!
I want those gauges in my pc, complete with backlight!
Coolest case ever man.
This is really-really amaizing, and maximum respect because you take care of these "old" cases (and parts) 😉👍✊!! The Zalman Fatal1ty case was one of my dream cases 10 years ago 🙂. Please make a full build with this case...
Queria muito ter esse gabinete com radiador de água,ótimo vídeo 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Watching your videos brought me for a trip to memory lane. Missed these old techs when I'm still in university life, thanks man! You deserved a like and sub. Keep making great videos my man!
I like this thing. Very to the point and functional without excessive bling.
Os gabinetes são SHOW!!!
Retro HARDWARE, HOMEM LINDO !!!!!!
Tem que lembrar que ele n vai entender oq vc tá falando :P, a n ser que ele tacou no tradutor
@@LuquinhaAlves04 certeza que ele usou kkk
I didn't realize before but it appears that the LQ1000 uses the same PCB for the pump and fan control panel as the Reserator XT.
Many people who purchased a Reserator XT thought they had got a bad unit because the system would eventually gum up from the included coolant reacting with the low fluid sensor and leached tubing plasticizer. There also seems to be a programing oversight where if the fluid/air temperature dropped below 18c the system will eventually turn off the pump/fan which causes the fan stop and low flowrate alarm to go off. Finally the control knob has some "tolerance issues" that can be used to adjust the minimum and maximum fan/pump speed by pushing/leaning it inward while rotating, It's a little unpredictable but when you change out the fan with a different speed curve you will have to mess around with it.
I still using my Zalman reserator XT coolant system since 15years. Up to date the most efficient system.
Today i got an upgrade of my mind. the Zalman GT1000 is more advanced and i missed his existence. take care of it.
Awesome cases. I didn't even know they had a fully water cooled one, but I always wanted one back when they were announced. There was also a grey one, which also looked fantastic.
What an incredible cabinet! If it was still for sale I would definitely buy it. 👑
What a grace the clock indicator on the box showed no gasoline sin ... as you can tell that you like the hardware by how you treat the items 👍 good videos man !!!
The stuff you feature is always the coolest XD!
I remember the day these came out and how cool they were so cool to see them still being used 👍
Shows some corrosion possibly due to mix of metals (Alu/Cu). Best to do a clean.
The block needs also a good polishing.
Awesome video!
it looks too damn good man, keep it up! i havent seen any better cases lol
Those are really good pumps I have 3 that have lasted over 10 years... They still sell them at Frozen Cpu.
Mine was sold by Danger Den in 2010. Frozen Cpu 's are called Phobya DC12-400 12V.
If I'm not mistaken this whole system is mixed metals though.
You mean the Reserator XT? Yeah, it's alu rads and copper waterblock. Only use proper mixed metals coolant in that thing.
Very nice cases! 👍🏼
Love it man sick build
Good lord, i want like three of these cases, yesterday. I never even knew Zalman did liquid cooling cases like this. I only knew of the Thermaltake ones which were always awful for the asking price versus a normal case with a custom loop.
They need to make cases like that today!
This is gorgeous!!!
Great video as always but...WOW what a quality of image, lot more crispy, did you change the camera?
camera is same all the time
Heaven and Hell
fantastic i have zalman z11 plus for 7 years :)
The pump and controller are burnt out, but my friend has my old Koolance case from 2003 that's got the 3x 80mm top fans w/ 3 speed controls, black generic Antec looking full tower case, with plexi window on the side. I wish it still worked, I'd buy it back, and put one of my retro rigs in it.
If that panel was used to hold up and cool the mother board I would love it. Actually I still love it
FINALY!!! You got the case that I bougt last year.
How much did you pay for it in that state? I've my for 70 euro with Phenom II 940 BE and some other cool stuff inside + BOX'es and all manuals.
I need to get GT1000 :)
Спасибо за видео!
Pretty cool case, could probably swap out the waterblock & suddenly have modern cpu's in this thing without any problems at all really, like am4, socket 1151 etc...
Atm it looks like the case came with am2+ compatibility & ofc any other amd socket using the same mounting, socket 1366 & 775.
Ofc make sure too pick the right type of water block just too have the same metals working with each other so you don't get corrosion as you've seen that on other water cooling parts you've taken apart & cleaned.
In our country most old zalman stuff are 2nd hand Korean imports like Nvidia 9800gt with zalman copper cooler, PSU, etc.
Love it! =) My XP-Machine is build in the Z-Machine GT1000 Case =)
Looks so Cool
LOVE 100% !!!
Did you buy this on German eBay Kleinanzeigen? I think I have seen that case a couple months ago, but I am not interested in water cooling. And I have purchased two Zalman GT 1000 cases with regular aircooling and less prominent logos on it. (One Titanium and one in Black)
That's a pretty big radiator even for the time... Maybe build a killer 775 system inside it?
After watching this video l, I'd like to put my car radiator into my pc, this pc case give me inspiration
Pls dude send the link for this case, if I have this case right now I would sell my NZXT case and use this, it’s amazing looking
500€ arent bad for a case with huge fans, built-in thermometer, a good interface and water cooling !!!
today it would cost way more i think
Really nice case
6:38 Awwwwwww dude, i felt pain. You should turn off the power supply immediately :( I hope the pump will still run quietly and won't make a whisper.
pump is OK
@Jeroen As you said, rotor is moving. So, it is a mechanical part, right?
You're wrong. First - the liquid is the bearing for the pump impeller. Without it, it rubs against the pump housing, which can easily break the impeller blades. I think it`s DCP 4.0, so I even know what this impeller looks like because I was disassembling this pump. Compare a DCP rotor to for example a DDC or D5. As long as you do not break your paddles in these two pumps, you can do it in the DCP pump very easily.
Secondly, the liquid resists the pump impeller, which makes it rotate at the rotational speed provided by the manufacturer. Without liquid, the impeller turns much faster, which overloads the pump and can lead to combustion.
Thirdly - even minimal mechanical damage to the rotor often causes that it starts to emit random sounds, which eliminates the sense of its further use in terms of the most important parameter for water cooling - silence.
This is like equivalent to Bugatti of PC cases back in 2008.
Look at that brushed aluminum, and sill it looks good today
6:40 lover your headphones boys :)
7:03 yeah i know that icon it haunts me every day , but i never ever seen it on PC case
Thanks for pinup and another great video.

Fatal1ty build: th-cam.com/video/Gvsxrx681x0/w-d-xo.html
Advanced retro benchmarks have appeared.
Id like to see a DX10 GPU and early DX11 GPUs tackle raytracing in old games. My CPU optimizations which will eventually be per application should help balance the loss of clock cycles.
Just use classic resolutions and modern more efficient high image quality AA. With an intelligent sharpener its still going to look great even at 1152x864.
For science. Windows 10, old CPU GPU combo. High end of course. My mods.
You could make presets based off of mine more appropriate to the hardware. The sample rate and 3-4 ambient occlusion radius stuff is asking a lot of something really old. But maybe not. Only one way to find out.
It looks epic
Now i have new dream and this is LQ1000.
I wish my Frondpanel from the Thermaltake v21 cube has the Radiator intrigat..
now if only my own zalman server case was as cool as this
looks better than any nzxt case and any o11 variants
this video among some other's made me buy a gt1000:)
Why dont we get cool cases anymore its just glas and no 5.25 😔
Does anyone know where I can buy this case, not new one but used? Searching on Ebay etc. for very long time but no luck.It is very hard to find one.Tnx for help
uau que linda máquina top
Ehhh I don't envy all the cleaning you had to do.
Wow
eu assisto o seu vídeo aqui na capital paulista você já ouviu falar aqui o hardware é muito caro aqui no Brasil as pessoas tentam construir pc gamer mas a maioria das pessoas estão apenas comprando usado
Coole Teile
I'll stick to my AiO from Cooler Master, but nevertheless it's very very nice PC case. Good build quality also.
Лучше заменил бы все и показал что корпус чистый а не так бумагой туалетной Протер ((
500 bucks retail when new. Wow, for that price I want a whole computer. Very cool to watch, anyway.
Zalman waz king
Hermoso
#JayzTwoCents
yeah;.... leak test all of that lol
Today
dude. turn the fkin pump off its dry IM LITERALLY YELLING IT AT MY MONITOR
serious cringe moment..... why did you think it a good idea to dry start that waterpump..... smh you never dry run a water pump...
tfw you use awesome cases for your cool machines and i use a £20 case. :(
i remember when these came out wanted one but didn't want to pay the price
