I believe the term "eye" goes back to the stoves that you built a fire inside. They had holes (or eyes) on top that fit different sized skillets, thus the numbers on iron skillets that don't make sense to us. Those skillets would have rings on the bottom to keep them in place over that eye. A #8 skillet would fit into an 8" hole because that was the diameter of the ring, not the diameter of the pan (which is 10.25"). I hope that helps explain how the term "eye" came about on a stove.

When it comes to Parm; such a fantastic nutty cheese, buy a chunk of Parmesan Reggiano and grate it yourself! Much better that way.

Snow Creek Sausage is from Senaca SC. It must be a hometown favorite. Here in NC, we have Neese’s sausage. It’s based out of Greensboro NC. It’s sold in square packaging, never frozen, and delivered in small green squared trucks! Don’t know how far into SC it would come.

The term "eye" used to refer to a stove burner is likely derived from the resemblance of the burner's shape and appearance to an eye. Here are a few possible explanations for why a stove burner is called an "eye": 1. Visual Resemblance: The circular shape of a stove burner, with its central opening or flame, can resemble an eye when viewed from a certain angle. The burner's appearance, with the flame acting as the pupil, may have led to the association with an eye. 2. Symbolic Reference: Eyes are often considered a symbol of observation and attention.

You put no seasoning in it whatsoever, no herbs, salt, spices or pepper! That must be so bland.
Would have looked more appetising if you had waited for the cheese top to brown.
