The only category that sees a rate lower than 99% is the 70 and over age grouping, and the rate for that category is still above 94%. So there is no need for lockdowns, which actually cause more damage and deaths than COVID-19 itself. Lockdowns obviously harm the economy and that increases poverty, which lowers the ability for people to seek proper medical care for other truly life threatening illnesses (e.g., cancer, heart disease, diabetes, etc.). Moreover, there is no need to quarantine the healthy; rather, it would be better to have those in the highest age category self-isolate (i.e., if they have other pre-existing conditions), and allow those in the other age categories to function as normal, with perhaps moderate social distancing and other non-pharmacological public health measures to slow the spread of the virus. That said, the other problem with Newsom is that he's a hypocrite and doesn't even follow his own guidelines. Clearly the man is not a good leader, and that's why he should be removed.
I recommend reading Dr. John Ioannidis of Stanford's peer-reviewed article on the IFR of COVID-19, which can be accessed at the WHO website, in order to better understand why lockdowns are unnecessary and actually counterproductive.

She asked the city for a permit for outdoor and paid to get that setup. I am sure she probably needed to make arrangements with the landlord also. She now has to close like everyone else, and she believes that its not fair that the movie company gets to open.
The movie company also got a permit from city and is also making arrangements and paying a lease for the tents. However operations will be much different than a restaurant.
Only staff will be working there, no one from the public will just be able to show up like in her restaurant
They will be screened and tested
They will pay for staff to keep everything clean and organized
So yes both setups look the same but they will function differently and the landlord is just trying to make money just as she is.
If you feel bad for her, do you part, wear a mask, stop hanging out with people, only do essential things, and order food to go.

I work at a market . . . surrounded by customers, and I'm still alive, and wearing a mask because I have no choice because of store rules, but not when I'm outside. So what makes the customers any different? They may be wearing masks but not always "6 ft apart". Yet many of these customers TOSS their masks, gloves, plastic bags/paper towels/handi-wipes (to _protect_ their hands from shopping cart handles that we HAVE TO spray), fast-food bags IN shopping carts and on the ground in parking lots.
WHO do they think has to pick-up all their so-called "infected" trash? WE DO, the employees. So we are spreading the so-called virus, even gloved (which sometimes we run out of), and without any special hazardous waste bins to throw it all in. So how does "masks" work? How does not spreading the virus work? So must we CLOSE STORES Immediately?
There are soo many hypocrisies/double-standards, there are so many crazy paranoid people who are yelling, intimidating, attacking people WITH, or Without masks . . . WE are LOSING our freakin' "Humanity". People are getting TOO used to wearing masks (yet we can smell odors through them, how does that work? The virus bacteria would be smaller than odor molecules) and its revealing the WORST in people. And its revealing too many that will easily give up their individual freedoms, and make the rest of us seem like villains trying to kill everyone. WE _want_ to live, but with freedom to live it (Newsom seems to be living it up). But keep on following followers that follow.
IF this is a "Test", WE failed . . . and just wait when THEY take more and more of our Rights. Many see it already, while others can't see the wood for the trees, and they're on fire.
I see a lot of people who are defending the movie set saying "They regularly test staff, they provide packaged food, they have better regulations." So pretty much people with money can do whatever they want? If we are all equal, rules should apply to everyone and not only affect those who don't have power.

If they're going through the hassle of making people socially distance and use outdoor seating, then I'm pretty sure they aren't testing the crew before they get together.
