First 2 seasons of this drama were based on Urdu Novel named ''Khuda aur Muhabat'' written by novelist Hashim Nadeem Published in 2010. First season came in 2011 which was solely based on that novel with Imran Abbas (who acted in few Bollywood movies as well like Creature 3D and Ae Dil ha Mushkil) and Sadia Khan (pakistani model) were in lead roles. This first series provided boom to pakistani drama industry in real sense. Due to its popularity, This Season 2 came in 2016 with same story line and same cast, it was basically a tribute to first season. Nd 3rd season is again produced with same name but having different cast and different storyline, again written by same writer Hashim Nadeem but not based on that novel. Imran Abbas and Sadia khan were the lead actors of 3rd season as well but due to some issues Imran abbas withdrew himself and Sadia khan herself rejected this role due to absence of Imran. So directors made 3rd season with two other famous faces of Pak Drama industry Feroz Khan (younger brother of Pak actress Humaima Malik, who acted in Raja Natwerlal alongside Imran Hashmi) and Iqra Aziz (one of the youngest actress of Pakistan).
