My Grandfather immigrated from Abruzzo in 1912, He passed away in 1970 when I was 11, This video makes me cry and smile at the same time, it's so emotional for me to see where he was raised until he was 15 when he immigrated with his friend of the same age. Such a brave young man, I'm so proud of him. No one here in the US has had any contact with his family since my Grandfather passed away. At 62 I'm trying to find his family from Abruzzo and hope to visit them next year.
I visited Abruzzo this year it was in the end of March for 10 days, it was an absolutely unforgettable experience. We went skiing, horse back riding, hiking to the mountains and many more site seeing. I highly recommend people who want to visit Italy to visit Abruzzo. Oh and the locals are very sweet. I can’t wait to go back and have a wonderful time !!!
you prolly dont give a damn but does anybody know of a tool to get back into an instagram account? I stupidly forgot the password. I would love any assistance you can offer me!
@Abraham Bennett I really appreciate your reply. I found the site on google and Im in the hacking process atm. Looks like it's gonna take a while so I will reply here later when my account password hopefully is recovered.
Abruzzo...Kathy, you have outdone yourself with this episode. The countryside, the food, the wine and of course the people. The National Park sounds and looks like "a must-see" part of this magnificent countryside. The caffeto sounds delicious! I would like to go at the harvesting time of the olives.
and...... over 80% of all of Europes wildlife can be found here including Wolves, Lynx, porcupines and the rarest bear in the world. The Marsican bear....only 50 of them left in the world
Thank you so much for your video's, I'm new to your channel could you please go to Cheiti Scarlo its so beautiful & Pescara during Summer........Thank you
@R. M Matters will always fall into the Italics' handa aslong as it will be their land. Abruzzo being one of the first areas in which the tribes were called Italic
Ma per favore!!! Ancora con questa immagine stereotipata dei mandolini e le saltarelle...ma siete pacchianissimi, l'Abruzzo non c'entra un cazzo con quello che avete fatto vedere e sentire qui!
@@campanianrepublic82 Cazzo c' entrano i tirolesi? Non ballare la saltarella e non suonare il mandolino significa automaticamente essere tirolesi?! Che cazzo dici?
aesndro70 yes, every time Anglos get into some foreign culture they have this unique talent for ruining it all by stereotyping everything, turning into a cliche... It is so grating...And then they try to tell the locals what their culture ought to be ie their stereotyped, foreigners manufactured culture that sells well abroad. Instead of what the true local traditional culture really is. Yes, I hear you... And, here in multicultural Australia, all the various people from other countries say they do this to their cultures, too. And it grates on nerves, because what this stereotyping really does is to replace the true authentic culture with this fake, manufactured stereotype, made by foreigners, to suit their tastes. How rude and offensive! Thus, unless it's Zorba the Greek, played Anglo style, it's not considered truly Greek. If the food is not pizza,or pasta, it's not considered fair dinkum Italian. Never mind that many Italians never eat either pizza or pasta, especially up north, where rice is grown and risotto is eaten and who would be such a peasant as to think pizza is a serious dish. It's about the equivalent of the cheapest pie with sauce from an Aussie second rate take away joint. An Asian chef here, an excellent one complained bitterly to me about how he went great trouble to prepare a REAL Chinese meal for Aussies, who refused to eat it because it was not their idea of Chinese food ie Australianised Chinese food. They wreck everything!
