over the years that man has given us everything in snooker, glad to be alive to witness it all.
Good to see that Ding realises that all he had to do was finish off more of his opportunities(especially in the first session), because he was given enough chances. I could hear some players say "Ronnie was just too good in those last three frames, he's a legend", which is completely the wrong mindset if you want to fix your mistakes, even though it is true that O'Sullivan often seems to save his best for last.

I grew up watching Jimmy white who was my first snooker love. Ronnie was my second & has been ever since, he is a generational talent. You will never see another like him in anyones lifetime. He's a total genius.

Ronnie surely plays the best and most consistent snooker ever. But here’s one (maybe unpopular) question. Why did he miss the last black in the last frame. I mean, I know, it’s because of the (in his eyes too low) prize money. But doesn’t he also have a public to satisfy? Wouldn’t this immense achievement have been even greater when he had finished it with a clean table? He doesn’t need that money any more, I would think. What are your thoughts?

This is absolutely fantastic, well done Ronnie! However - where on earth is the next batch of talent? When the class of 92 retires the game is going to be a shadow of its former self. Yes we might still have Trump and a few others, but I have yet to see the next Davis, Hendry, or O'Sullivan waiting in the wings....
