I really don't see the difference between was written and has been written , in English. Should the first part really be was (being) written...to differentiate between the two?
Maybe that's my Dutch-speaking point of view :) There is, indeed, not much difference between the two but it's the same difference between the perfectum and imperfectum in general.
Alain, i don't still understand, why at one case we use worden and at another zijn ? why it is not worden everywhere ? Een boek wordt geschreven. Een boek is geschreven. Why we need zijn in Perfectum? Because we cannot use worden in Perfectum "was geworden" ? What is the formula of passive voice? worden or zijn plus past participle?
Hi, een boek wordt geschreven = at the moment, a book is being written. Een boek is geschreven = it's done, nobody's writing the book anymore. They're both passive, but in the first example, the writing is still ongoing. In the second one, the book is done. Hope it helps!
Thank you for making this crazy language easier to learn ❤
You're welcome 😊
Thank you for simplifying the grammar rules. I now have a better sense of how this tense is formed and used.
Glad it was helpful!
Great 👍 your teaching style is awesome.
Could you please one more lesson on this subject, passive version.🙏
Thanks, and what would you like to have more information on? More examples? Or something else?
With 'if' condition...
Thank you 🙏
