This is stunning, thank you so much for sharing your process. I find your art work massively inspiring and your videos extremely informative. Beautiful work! the piece of aluminum to know where to separate the different gypsum sections right? How did you choose that as the separating section?
Thanks! I use only cement and water mix. But there will be cracks on the sculpture after drying. Only way to prevent cracks - to cover sculpture with water-resistant varnish. Or add a sand to the cement mixture.
looks great. I'm just starting to make my own. just wondering why your mix is water, pva glue and cement? does this give a better finish? at the moment I'm just using the standard sand water and cement. thank you
Thank you, Mr. Zaytsev. Your silicone compound is just the two components, correct? You do not add any thickeners to it, it seems. You brush multiple layers of the same mixture to get the mold to the right thickness. Is this correct? Final question: do you spread Vaseline over the entire form to make removal of the silicone mold easier? Thank you.
You are welcome, Mr. Irving. Two components silicone compound. Yes. I do not use any thickeners at this video but thickener can be useful. Multiple layers - yes. I use Vaseline only to detach one gypsum part from another. No vaseline for silicone mold.
Sorry to be so offtopic but does any of you know a way to get back into an instagram account?? I was stupid forgot the password. I love any help you can offer me
@Beckett Kashton Thanks so much for your reply. I got to the site thru google and Im trying it out now. Takes a while so I will get back to you later when my account password hopefully is recovered.
A few questions...How long with the mixture stay pliable? Can you keep in in a bucket with a lid without it drying? Can you put the object you are working on in a plastic bag to keep it pliable? I have nerve damage in one hand (cut the tip off my thumb) and carpal tunnel in both hand due to working with my hands for over 20 years so I can no longer work on something for long periods of time.
What mixture? Cement with water starting to set in about an hour and only way to keep it pliable is to mix it all the time. But if you talking about plasticine (the material that I use for the main sculpture) it is oil based clay - so it never dry. You can work with your plasticine as long as you want. Good luck!
Подскажите какие материалы каких марок используете, бетон axton? Селикон какой фирмы? И лак чем покрываете готовые бетонные скульптуры? Подскажите пожалуйста
@@ThePeterZaytsev I assume you mean regular oil based modeling clay(reusable), because I can't find anything on sculptural/simple plasticine as a brand or product.

Thanks, Alan! The palm with thumb is wider than other parts of arm, so without piece of can the silicone can not be removed.
Can you please tell me what does the dough consists? Is it only cement or something else?

What ratio and what cement? Sir

@@ThePeterZaytsev what silicon you using. your way seems to be alot easier and you use less. iv been using alot off silicon making the molds square.
So beautiful!

Thanks so much you saved my account :D
is this cement and pva glue that your using? it sure doesnt look like just cement and water or sand and cement . cheers
I always use this mixture: Water (2 part) + Cement (3 part)+PVA glue (a little). And there is no any secret ingredient ))
Peter Zaytsev I appreciate your reply👍🏿

hey, does the aluminium piece give any mark on the final product?
There can be some marks on the silicone from aluminium piece but I remove them easy with small scissors.

Do you dry the clay? What happens to the clay sculpture afterwards? Can you reuse the clay?
I use plasticine. It is oil based clay. It never dried. And I use it again and again on my next sculptures.

Im the 12th dislike, the sculpture with the half man half woman is more abominable for me to see and thats why.
