Thank you for this thorough and positive video. I have suffered for 8 years and tried everything with daily exercise and diet changes. Getting my anterior out patient hip replacement in two weeks. Looking forward to along walk!
It is now 6 months since my replacement. I can take long walks without pain and I'm so grateful. It's been a journey. After surgery my whole leg swelled and had throbbing nerve pain, my post surgery recovery was slower. Being a very active person, this was frustrating. I could not take the opioids as they made me sick. They changed my meds and I took Alpha lipoic acid and B1 for 3 months before the nerve pain subsided. I do not believe the recovery time is as quick as they say, but I waited so long to have it done, it was my own fault. Now my neck and thoracic back is trying to adjust to my hip position correction. I have found Somatic Stretching and acupuncture has helped the most. Good luck to you. Take it one day at a time. It is major surgery and your body tells you it needs time to heal. I think it takes a year.
My left hip replacement is July 31. I have severe post traumatic osteoarthritis pain from a head on collision with a semi 2/11/2021. Left knee was replaced 2 years ago and doing very well. Left ankle debridement, 11/23 so I'm looking forward to P. T. I'm doing all pre-op exercises and more.
Wow! Wished he was my Orthopedic Surgeon ! I went to PT twice at different years 2022 and 2024 , end up doing the same ole exercises , both time. It never helped me , and now I have bigger issues.
I had a work injury, that caused me to get my upper part of my body twisted toward my left hip and I told WC docs that my left leg is in pain including groin at times, cause the weight of my stomach landed over my left side of my pelvic, but the WC docs says my pain in my pelvic/groin area has no connection to my lunbar, which they said i had a lunbar strain and shoulder strain. I even seen a orthopedic doc for my back and he said my injury is not related to my job injury. From your experience and knowledge, "Is the Lunbar connected to the pelvic area?" I
