There is a difference between Percentile and Percentage. If you get zero marks you can still get get 100 percentile provided that rest other students got marks marks in negative(lower than you).

@London Dreams Yes.Finally I cracked GATE exam and at present I am in IIT Jammu doing my M.Tech in Communications and Signal Processing.
