    Additional material:
    - Front cover panels: transparant acrylic sheets. They are useful for not getting balls shot in your eyes. I laser cut these.
    - Stepper motor NEMA 17HS4023 nl.aliexpress.com/item/100500...
    - On/Off switch, footprint hole in front cover is 13.7 mm high and 8.8 mm wide nl.aliexpress.com/item/400116...
    - Arduino CNC shield V3 nl.aliexpress.com/item/325486...
    - Arduino, any 5V type will do
    - Dupont wires
    - TMC2208 stepper driver nl.aliexpress.com/item/100500...
    - Rotary Encoder Module Voor Arduino nl.aliexpress.com/item/100500...
    - Spring. I took one from an assorted spring package that suited.
    - Metal balls, I used 9 mm ones nl.aliexpress.com/item/100500...
    - Power supply, I used a 12V I still had from an old modem for the stepper driver and used the voltage regulator on the arduino for 5V
    - Threaded inserts for M2 (large gear) and M3 (rack).
    - Bolts and nuts in M2 and M3 in various sizes, with O-rings.
    - Bearing 17mm outside diameter, 6mm inside diameter, thickness 5 or 6 mm

Awesome video Jens, I can't wait to see what you create next! I love that you talk about what you learnt from the project at the end of the video

Should make the play field more like a Pachinko machine!

Good suggestion! In my first draft, I actually had all launched balls split into two sections. One was all slides and the other was a Pachinko field (by using something like nails). In the end I went with just the slides, but I think scaling the project up and adding more Pachinko style stuff would be sweet!

Great video, if I had more time (needed less sleep?) I would have edited a 10 hour version out of the last two minutes of running.
Also: lovely use of music. A very complete presentation of a satisfying project, in this way it feels like more than the sum of it’s parts.

Thank you for the positive message! Yes, it is mesmerizing. Was a good idea to add the 2 minutes at the end!

    Very satisfying indeed!
So, I was wondering if glass or maybe acrylic marbles would possibly be a suitable substitution for the steel balls?

Thank you! And I think that would work, yes! If using this design you'd only need them to be the same diameter the original steel balls were.

Hey! I'm glad you like it 😀 You can download the 3D files for free from the links in the description, however I'm not selling the toy as of now.

Very cool build! If it wasn’t so noisy I’d think about one for my desktop at work.

That would be cool but indeed, your colleagues would probably not appreciate it.
