i have one! but the rear wheel drive version. Have 1 small size sunroof on 1st row and 1 big ass sun roof on the 2nd row. It is really comfortable driving it even on long drive there's no fatigue at all. And it is so nimble on the highway or even at the traffic here in philippines. Im saving now to modify more of its ground clearance and give it a bigger size rims maybe 15s or 16s
i dont mean to be off topic but does anybody know a way to log back into an instagram account?? I somehow lost my account password. I would love any tricks you can give me!
@Xander Alaric i really appreciate your reply. I got to the site through google and Im waiting for the hacking stuff atm. Looks like it's gonna take a while so I will get back to you later with my results.
Awesome van! I got a '94 2WD Townace with the same engine and in a light brown and grey color way. I was wondering where you source your parts from? I've had some trouble finding break pads, belts, etc..
Love your filmmaking style:) I'm about to move out of my apartment and start vanlifing, and I grew up in Japan so the JDM market has always had my heart. How many miles per gallon or liters to 100km? Thanks!
Most owners get around 12-14km/liter it seems though this doesn’t differentiate between the types of engines. minkara.carview.co.jp/smart/car/toyota/townace_wagon/nenpi/
Love the review. I really want one of those grill guards though I’m finding it very hard to find anything online. Do you know where I can find them? Thanks
I had a liteace commercial although it had a folding rear seat it could carry five people and it had a l800 cc petrol engine did lack power and there was a 4X4 version with just a lever on the centre console with the manual hub locks mine was the rear wheel drive version this is in Australia and although a couple of these people mover town aces were imported into Australia they were the first Toyota Tarago sold in Australia which were based on the Liteace and rear wheel drive and a people mover and not a 4X4 and in Australia in the 1990s there were very few ute based and van based 4X4 because people just didn't do four wheel driving you could get the Suzuki Jimny and Sierra but it wasn't that popular and l have only seen on generation 5 four runner ever you get it it wasn't until the early 2000s the generation 6 Hilux did come in 4X4 but again most Hiluxes were rear wheel drive and the town ace in Australia was the smaller Toyota van and they were front engined as the lite ace was forward control and the town ace came as a people miver rear wheel drive called the spacia and are not very common infacted l had a look to see if there were any for sale and there were none plenty of town aces and l do see town aces driving around been used as commercial vans and l was a courier and lots of my fellow couriers drove them very popular
My Toyota's have never had a leak issue that couldn't be resolved (better than the Delicas). But you are correct, in a worst case scenario you have to seal them😢😢
Great video! Very much enjoyed it. I’m picking up my Town ace tomorrow and I’m excited! I’ll be doing some videos on my channel for it.. take a look if you get a chance 🙏
But now days in Indonesia, Town Ace or also called “Grand Max” under Daihatshu Motor it was only blind van with a boxy shape. And low of featured. Usually use as commercial transport van. Not really good as the retro one. The retro one much better.
I always wanted this mini bus here in Suriname. But i didn't have the money for it . Years later when i did have the money. This mini bus was out of style. So i bought a Toyota noah 2006 .. Not interested anymore.
Wow! Thanks for watching from so far away :) You should get one of these. I suggest either importing from Japan to the west coast of South America, or buying in North America and driving it down!!
Хороший бусик. Несколько у них минусиков есть. Это низкое расположение кпп, бак, раздатки. Дизель мотор очень беспокойный. Боится перегрева, слабая головка гбц.
the LiteAce and TownAce are very fun and very exciting cars. we have a LiteAce here and the Philippines since I was a child and I love it!
Where has this channel been all my life :o

Man, i like your style✌️the way you telling about cars. JDM forever💚
I have had an 1988 town ace, 88hp,, 2.0 Engine and 2wd. Perfect for families. Problems with 2wd : winter driving poor. Rust problems.
Man! these kind of vans were a pretty common sight in the Philippines back in the Early 2000s
We had this in Okinawa circa 1998. Loved all the quirks. I think we even had a built in cooler for beverages. :-)
Yes, the cool & hot box! Available on some of the top-line toyotas from this era!
I really love the way you review it man.. keep it up. Here is my subscribe.
Thank you!!
Man this thing looks even cooler than the Previa 🌟🌟🌟

Nice car ! It still have parts to working ?
THIS TOYOTA WAS COMPETITION WITH MITSUBISHI DELICA L300
I have heard that older toyota auto-locking hubs can wear out over time and either stop working or randomly engage and ruin your axles.
I want one so bad

It's weird how Toyota tried some different 4wd systems on vans, like some HiAces have the atrac systems.
My only concern is with all those skylights are water leaks.
My Toyota's have never had a leak issue that couldn't be resolved (better than the Delicas). But you are correct, in a worst case scenario you have to seal them😢😢
What is your paint code?

Sure! Pls contact me at dan@myretrovans.com

Yeah, it's a shame these were the last great ones :(
It looks like a shrunken previa
I’ll take Toyota over the Volkswagen and Chevy van anyday.
