Loved ur heartfelt connection with Udhayam! Chennai is my hometown & i can totally relate to all the nostalgia connected with different landmarks. I live in blore now & whenever i visit chennai, there is always some change..old buildings demolished, old shops closed. Just like how Udayam is close to ur heart, Prarthana drive in, was my favourite childhood theatre. It broke my heart, when they shut it down. I guess, these were not just buildings...they were an emotion!
